I appreciate this quote because it speaks simply of a major problem facing our world today. The rational mind is a left-brain function whereas the intuitive mind is a right brain function.The rational mind is conditioned since birth to be and act as parents and as society dictates. This mental function produces robotic servants.
Intuition connects with the right brain that is able to understand broader and wider concepts than those of the rational mind. It is indeed a sacred gift. I encourage my students to imagine an infinity symbol over the third eye chakra while having the intention to harmonise the left and right brains so a more expansive use of their brains can take place. In the ancient Mystery Schools of Egypt, Greece and Peru, spiritual initiates were trained in the wise use of their right brain so they could consciously and with care explore the content of their soul’s experiences and the wisdom stored in their subconscious. By so doing they can advance spiritually by developing mastery over their minds and emotions. In our present time we can also do this practice. Past-life regressions can assist.
