NEW MOON OCTOBER 29, 9.13 AM AEST 5 DEGREES SCORPIO

Pluto rules the sign of Scorpio and, in its entry to Capricorn, has a goal to transform those old societal and economic structures based on greed and power abuse.   The dysfunctional world economy is in the process of decay; death and eventual re-birth and this decay began at the time of Pluto’s ingress into this sign.   A radical change for the better can emerge from the ashes of the past.   Pluto takes twelve years to pass through Capricorn so we are only seeing the beginning of the transformative global changes. When Pluto was passing through the opposite sign of Cancer the world was suffering a major economic depression.   This was in the 1930’s. On a personal level this transit offers the opportunity to release any dis-empowering unhealthy aspects of self.   We can choose instead to create radical and constructive change.

Let’s return to the New Moon in Scorpio.   How can you use this new energy beneficially to improve your personal economic and psychological situation?

Drive, determination and intense focus on goals can be experienced now. A more purposeful new beginning is possible.   It is a good time to advance your business and your heart-felt desires. Some of you will already be creating ideas for a new approach to your work, as you will be feeling the desire to make important changes. It would be wise to base your changes on that which inspires and energizes you and is what you love to do. With a Mars/Saturn connection now a little effort will go a long way and long-term plans can gain momentum.

However, some relationships might come under pressure through this penetrating Scorpio energy. Some old buried secret, or psychological pattern from the past might emerge and need to be addressed. Scorpio is the most powerful sign of the zodiac. It is strong energy and may bring about relationship breakdowns, or break- throughs! Be aware of any poisonous undercurrents that block the flow of love, self-respect and self-honouring.

Vesta, Goddess of the Hearth Flame, opposes Moon/Sun/Mars. Vesta requires a dedicated commitment to the flame of heart-felt truth and assertive, positive action taken on it. Are you willing to be open, honest and vulnerable? Truth telling is so healing and freeing.
