FULL MOON JUNE 8TH 5.11 AM AEST SAGITTARIUS 18 DEGREES

The balance between information/knowledge and truth/wisdom is highlighted through the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity of signs. These two cosmic forces are opposite each other in the zodiac The Sun is moving through Gemini whilst the Moon is moving through the zodiacal sign of Sagittarius. At any Full Moon the Sun and Moon are opposite each other.

One of the themes of Gemini, and the one depicted on the Gemini symbolic pictograph, is that of twins.  These twins symbolically represent the two main aspects of self as the outer personality self and the inner twin or Soul.  We can spend many years or lifetimes feeling lost, alienated, alone and disconnected because we haven’t learned how to consciously re-connect to this “all knowing, all wise” soul aspect of self. When we do reconnect and become soul infused we feel as if we have “made home” within ourselves.  We feel connected, loving, warm, whole and balanced. 

The urge with Gemini, an air sign, is to gather a great deal of information and knowledge whereas Sagittarius, a fire sign, likes to focus on truth, ethics, natural law and creating freedom of spiritual beliefs to enable the development of wisdom.  Here is a good question to reflect upon and ask yourself at this time: “Do I rely on somebody else’s facts and knowledge to live and manage my life or do I allow my intuition and heart-felt truth to influence my decisions?”  So many “facts” are now being proven incorrect by new science and it is becoming increasingly difficult to know what to believe.  Your body is the greatest instrument to indicate truth if you will but tune in quietly and listen to it. 

The symbolic pictograph image of Sagittarius is the Centaur; half human, half horse, holding a bow and arrow ready to aim at a target.  He is totally clear sighted and focused. He will confidently and assuredly shoot his arrow to the centre of his target. The horse aspect symbolizes the lower “animal” nature of humans. The human part symbolizes the human being connected to the internal animal yet consciously choosing to operate life with clear thought, foresight and focus to rise above the animalistic nature.

Therefore, at this Full Moon in Sagittarius you can select your “target” very carefully and choose to aim your symbolic arrow towards it utilizing clear thought, foresight and focus.  The cosmic energy is there to support you especially when you are in absolute truth and in alignment with your inner twin. You will need to make sure you are very focused, steady and calm before you shoot your arrow.

Saturn, the archetypal energy of the Lord of Karma, Taskmaster and Lord of Time, will be in hard aspect to both the Sun and Moon.  I visualize Saturn as the authoritarian “boss” or “headmaster” type, with hands on hips challenging and supporting us to “get our 3D act” together and take the steps we need to take, no matter how scary, to progress to the next level in our life.   Saturn provides the correct cosmic timing yet requires that we take these steps carefully and responsibly.  Impulsiveness will not work! 

 You might like to reflect upon any visionary goals or life-enhancing ideas you had in September 2008, because it is now time for them to be re-activated, revised and re-worked.  They now need your attention, commitment and the application of practical structure and form. They needed to gestate for nine months before they could see the light of day!  It would be wise to plan your “target” carefully, taking into consideration practical matters and your natural abilities. Be mindful of not over committing and going “over the top” – a natural Sagittarian characteristic!

 This Sagittarian Full Moon provides the opportunity to “walk your talk”, take the steps necessary to expand your status, career or profession and believe in yourself and your abilities to do the job well. A solid base of self-understanding, self-belief, truth, integrity, ethics, practicality and stability will keep you connected to the 3D world of form and will ensure success through the maturation process.

Some of you may be offered opportunities to travel or to broaden your mind through a course of study.   It would be wise to accept the cosmic challenge to move forward in your life. Sagittarius rules the hips and sciatic nerve and those who stubbornly refuse to move forward in their lives, whatever the reason or excuse, can find themselves developing hip or sciatic nerve problems.   I’ve found that it always pays to take up the cosmic challenges no matter how hard they appear to be.  Successfully negotiating life challenges leads to the development of self-confidence, faith and wisdom.

Mercury, the trickster planet and no longer retrograde, is also offering a challenge to the three planets Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius.  Mercury in Taurus asks that you allow your mind to become still and calm before the Moon is full because you are likely to receive some illuminating and possibly exciting, unusual and innovative ideas to enhance your future direction.

 To wrap up:  It is time to revision and activate an inspired future direction, based on the deepest truth within your heart and soul. This future direction will then give your life meaning and purpose and the “missionary” zeal to accomplish it.
