FULL MOON AUGUST 6th- AQUARIUS 14 DEG. - 10.56 AM -LUNAR ECLIPSE
This astrological month the Moon cycle focus is on the Leo/Aquarius polarity and the question to ask your self becomes “How can I attain self-awareness and self-understanding about these two internal opposing forces to enable greater balance, joy and love in my life? To aid your understanding I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Leo and Aquarius.
Leo: a fire sign, meaning the fire of your internal spirit. In the functional: leader, star, creative, courage of the lion, fiery, loving, generous, warm, open, spontaneous, enjoys children and is child-like. In the dysfunctional: childish, unconsciously seeks love, attention, approval and recognition. Proud, arrogant, superior, self-centred, self-aggrandizement, unloved and rejection,
Aquarius: an air sign, associated with your mind and mental capacity. In the functional: self-aware, conscious, observant, free, space, futuristic; inventive, innovative, reform; humanitarian, friends, groups and causes. Dysfunctional: scattered, ‘airhead’, disconnected from heart and body, separation, abandoned, rebellious.
Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 14 degrees of Leo/Aquarius/Scorpio or Taurus (all fixed signs) will feel the affects of this Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse more so than others. The birth chart planets and points act like acupuncture points in the mind and body. Negative mental and emotional energy stagnates and solidifies at these places when old psychological issues remain unconscious and unresolved. Throughout life, via the magnetic Law of Attraction, repeated similarly related dense psychological patterning gathers energetic mass that eventually develops into illness and disease.
However, at certain astrological times cosmic energy becomes available to gain awareness of these self-destructive issues and themes. Through the development of conscious self-awareness and then by taking positive affirming action, healing takes place. The dense energy pattern shatters when the light of higher consciousness shines upon it. Greater health and wellbeing is the result. In other words psychological issues are highlighted at specific cosmic timing to enable evolutionary spiritual growth. Before that growth occurs you will react like a programmed robot until you choose to see clearly and change. Your lives are governed by cosmic timing! Astrology is a great tool to help you gain multi-dimensional consciousness through self-awareness so you can chose to work with cosmic currents rather than against them.
At this Full Moon, when emotions will be heightened, some of the Leo/Aquarius issues and themes will arise according to the key words outlined above. Your mind and body responds to keywords. So, with that introduction I’ll rock on with my delineation of this Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. As mentioned in my previous New Moon article an eclipse period can last for up to eighteen months and begins some months before the actual eclipse series. That means that specific themes and issues can last for that time thus providing a great window of opportunity to create permanent positive change. Here goes!

WOOPS! Something unusual and different is stirring here! The archetypal rebel could emerge! Alternatively your illumined mind can now see clearly your future direction that is likely to involve reform.
This lunar eclipse will highlight reformation or rebellion so the crazies could come out of hiding! Not only might the crazies emerge but also those humanitarians whose hearts are centred on creativity, love and unity. With the Sun in shiny Leo it is time for these new leaders to offer their futuristic projects to the world. They have hidden their light under a bushel for far too long.
Allow your leadership skill to carry you forward on your humanitarian journey. Be the Leo lion, utilizing your courage and creativity to create humanitarian reform. The new leaders who emerge are likely to understand and practice inter-connectedness and the need to work with groups aligned to an uplifting and fulfilling cause. They have the ability to unite diverse groups of people. Personal ego agendas and self-centredness will be relegated to second place as the desire to support a humanitarian project takes prominence. Unity through diversity will be the theme.
This Full Moon widely conjuncts Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune at the same time as it happily dances with Mars. So what does this mean in non-astrological terms?
This offers the opportunity to energize and expand your spiritual growth thus enabling the healing of wounds that block your greatest creative expression. The cosmic energy is available to see clearly the ramifications of allowing density to rule your consciousness. It will also provide fuel for you to act differently and confidently to bring about permanent change. This is quite a potent package! Change is needed, but what kind of change? Change to any fixed arrogant, superior and scattered patterns of thought and behaviour that are rejection and “littleness” based. Intellectual arrogance may arise through such thoughts as “I’m the only one who can do this” or “I know so much already why should I have to learn more?” or “I’m the greatest gift to people so why don’t they understand this?” WOOPS – egocentric patterning here! Your external world will clearly reflect the consequences of any such thoughts because they are likely to be illuminated at this Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse.
Why not reflect upon the areas of your life where you separate and abandon aspects of yourself? For example: Do you feel separated from experiencing love, warmth, happiness, nurturing, home, creativity, work, money, wealth, play, fun or good health - to name a few themes? Does it serve you to stay separated? If not, commit and dedicate yourself to change and then do something different, challenging and energizing that will demonstrate to your Higher Self that you really mean what you are now thinking!
Thinking, intending and committing are not enough. They are vitally necessary as inner world starting points however determined, empowering love based action in the outer world must follow for permanent change to be implemented. Formulate clearly your desire for change into something uplifting and then take the practical steps to anchor it into your reality, no matter how much discomfort you feel about doing so.
Observe any attempt by the Leo ‘Spoilt Child’ or “Drama Queen” archetype to take centre stage! This part of you might erupt when interacting with friends, groups or children. Observe and acknowledge this aspect of yourself without judgment. It is simply the small inner child part of you who seeks to be the centre of attention in order to gain love and approval. Once you can see it clearly and take responsibility for this formerly unconscious game, you can reform and change for the better. This takes dedicated commitment and the willingness to move onwards and upwards in your journey to the light of higher consciousness and love.
Pluto and Venus are opposing each other in the heavens at this time so money/sex or power issues in relationships can be highlighted. These might emerge to enable you to become conscious of your thoughts and issues relating to separation, rejection and abandonment.
This Full Moon placed next to Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, will activate expansion and spiritual growth. Life is a process of growth. We are all in various stages of becoming. Becoming what? Becoming a Star.
Emotions can go “over the top”! You might “fly off your handle” with a rebellious child, who suffers pangs of alienation because of wounds relating to separation. Mother/daughter issues can be highlighted because the Moon connects to Ceres, the Goddess of mother/daughter relationships. However, overseas travel or broadening study that can change your life dramatically can be undertaken now.
For those conscious, self-aware and tuned in to the higher dimensional frequencies of light, you can have many revelations at this time. Your intuition is likely to be heightened and you will perceive and understand truth more clearly than ever before. You may receive visions for your future or an intuitive ‘flash” that will reveal more than you have ever believed or understood to be possible. Believe in yourself and the powerful force of Creation that moves through you. Your life can totally change for the better now so prepare to be challenged to be great. Choose to rise to the occasion. Yes, you are worthy! Yes, you have all the gifts and talents needed to fulfil this task! Remember - your littleness is well past its’ use by date! Step up to the mark and Be the Star that you Are!
