FULL MOON SEPTEMBER 5th - PISCES 13 DEGREES - 2.04 AM

This astrological month the Moon cycle focus is on the Virgo/Pisces polarity The question to ask your self becomes “ How can I attain self-awareness and self-understanding about these two internal opposing forces to enable greater balance, joy and love in my life? To aid your understanding I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Virgo and Pisces. We all have these energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees.

Virgo: an earth sign; earth meaning all that is material and solid in our bodies and world.   In the functional: methodical, efficient, clean, pure, detailed, able to analyse and delegate, discriminatory, discerning, practical, grounded, orderly, precise and effective; health, healing and small animals; service. In the dysfunctional: critical, judgemental, over-analytical, non-discriminatory, gullible, impractical, puritanical, perfectionist, unable to delegate, collects useless things or information.

Pisces: a water sign; water meaning our emotional nature and ability to sense and feel energy currents. In the functional: Sensitive, compassionate, spiritual, psychic, ESP abilities, serene, gentle, calm, imaginative, artistic, faith, divinity, reflective, dreams, loves music and being near the water. Dysfunctional: addictive, fantasy, illusion, deceit, victim, escape, wafty, sees world through rose coloured glasses; wants to merge with another, places others on a pedestal, unable to discriminate. Goes into overwhelm easily and wants to escape from the reality they have created.

Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 13 degrees of Virgo/Pisces/Gemini/Sagittarius, all mutable signs, will feel the affects of this Full Moon more so than others.   The birth chart planets and points act like acupuncture points in the four bodies i.e. spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Negative dysfunctional mental and emotional energy stagnates and solidifies at these places when old psychological issues remain unconscious and unresolved. Throughout life, via the magnetic Law of Attraction, repeated similarly related dense psychological patterning gathers energetic mass that eventually creates illness and disease. You can decide to create a healthy body, mind and spirit by recognizing your dysfunctionality and then choosing to do what it takes to correct it.   This requires that you face, accept and heal your shadow side and consciously transmute the energy into light and love.

Sensitive Pisces likes to float in an airy/fairy world of imaginative realities and wants to merge with the divine they see in everyone. To do this they often choose, unconsciously, to save and rescue others, to both parties detriment. The one being rescued can give away their independent life force. The one rescuing feels a momentary sense of connectedness that soon fades into oblivion as the rescued one becomes even more helpless and seeks more rescuing!   This game can instantly cease when one player sees it clearly -and quits!

Some sensitive people unconsciously choose to commit suicide and/or create depression and other mental illnesses as an escape mechanism because they are unable to face the responsibilities of their inner and outer creations. My heart goes out to them because it doesn’t have to be so. I’ve been down that depression path! Becoming conscious of self-sabotaging mental patterns and taking responsibility for them is very healing. Watch those thoughts! The inner critic must be acknowledged and relegated to a loving space. It has served its time in prison! You cannot be all things to all people. You can be true to yourself. Be of service to yourself first and when you are full of love, joy, happiness, peace, serenity and balance you will have oodles of these qualities to share with others.   This is the way love spreads and then all within your sphere of influence will benefit.

Practical Virgo self-analyses, daily list making, effective action and grounding are needed for Pisces to move out of illusion and self-sabotage.   Developing faith in a higher power is also a very valuable tool.

Uranus loosely conjuncts with this Full Moon offering opportunities to lift the veil of illusion from your mind so you can see your self clearly, warts and all!   This clarity will enable you to consciously change outworn addictive self-defeating games of victim status, helplessness martyrdom and overwhelm.

Mercury at 7 degrees Libra turns retrograde (appears to travel backwards) from 7th until 29th September.   It’s best not to sign contracts during this time because they are likely to be held up or have problems. You might also experience other communication difficulties, particularly in relationships.

The Nodes of the Moon often referred to as the Cosmic Dragon, have done their “destiny” job via the Leo/Aquarius polarity.   They will now waltz through the Cancer/Capricorn polarity until 4th March 2011. The Nodes activate our evolutionary destiny path according to the themes of the signs.   With this Full Moon the South Node in Cancer dances happily with the asteroid goddess Vesta, goddess of the home fires and inner flame. Vesta in Leo is waltzing with Venus, the feminine planet of love, harmony and balance.    For some people this combination could activate dreams or memories of ancient temple priestess times. It could also bring up strong emotions, feelings and sensitivities. It may re-ignite your spiritual flame, your connection to divinity. If you allow your sensitivities to guide you have the energetic opportunity to open your heart chakra (energy centre) to a greater degree of love and warmth.

The Sun in Virgo connects to the asteroid goddess Pallas Athena and the planet Saturn. Pallas Athena, sandwiched between the Sun and Saturn, is the archetypal “warrior woman” goddess who was patron of the arts and crafts yet led armies of men into battle to win wars to please her father.   Saturn is the archetype of old father time. He is a taskmaster and can be likened to a responsible parent who demonstrates practical tough love.   We all learn many life lessons through the auspices of Saturn and the more we grow, mature and evolve the more we are tested to be authentic and responsible.

Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter, the three cosmic bodies still dancing together through the sign of Aquarius, are doing their bit to bring about individual and collective change; especially changes in consciousness.   They are all in retrograde motion. From my observation these planets are doing a great job. Many people in my loop are undergoing huge changes in their life. The old state of being and doing no longer works. Yet the future direction is still unclear. Survival is threatened. There are flashes of clarity and then the fog envelopes the mind again.   Ego control plans have to be thrown out the window. God’s plan is far greater than the personal ego plan and it needs time to unveil itself. An evolutionary leap is occurring and you can go with it, or fight against it.   It is a challenge either way. Resistance will persist!   Change is inevitable so it’s wise to be open and receptive to it.

A metamorphosis in consciousness, an awakening, requires that a calm and still mind be open to receive inspiration and the downloading of new, radical and evolutionary ideas and concepts. Many radical shifts are taking place internally and behind the scenes, both individually and collectively. Our world is changing dramatically.   We are being challenged to move beyond our former states of consciousness. When these three cosmic bodies station and begin their direct forward motion again the changes will become more evident thus enabling positive and constructive implementation. When will this be?

Jupiter turns direct on 13th October and will begin to gallop towards the end of the Aquarius sign.    It is then the green “go” button will be activated for your expansive humanitarian ideas and ideals.   Chiron’s direct button is also pushed in October whilst Neptune waits until 4th November.   Those people with planets or points around 17 to 27 degrees of Aquarius/Leo/Taurus and Scorpio are being strongly activated to lift the veils of littleness from your minds and change your perspectives and perceptions.   See the bigger picture of your life and go global!

This Full Moon in Pisces can bring reflective, imaginative or ecstatic experiences. You may be inspired to create a magical work of art. You will enjoy time by the beach or listening to inspirational music and this can be a vehicle for inspiring ideas and greater clarity. Inspiration has the word spirit within it! Allow Spirit to guide you. Dream your dreams and make them as clear, detailed and realistic as possible. This will enable their manifestation.

However this Full Moon may also bring up a reservoir of emotions based on the ghosts of the past. This can result in feelings of loss, loneliness, grief and sadness. These ghosts need to be acknowledged, faced and addressed. Unresolved issues relating to them will eventually take their toll on your mental, emotional and physical health.

Much happens in the emotional/astral plane. This dimensional level is where the ghosts of the past exist and play games. Those totally committed to their spiritual journey to the light of higher consciousness will encounter this field of experience. You will need to learn to traverse this realm with great care and discernment. There are many mischievous entities existing in this realm and you can get hoodwinked. The more pure you are energetically; i.e. the more you have confronted, healed and cleared the energy packages of your internal poisons (the psychological ghosts of your past) the greater your ability to reach higher dimensional planes of experience. This is your spiritual evolutionary purpose.

Keep the desire to serve utmost in your mind, remembering that the greatest service to the planet is to clean up your own psychological act. If enough people were willing to do this inner work then our world would be a far happier, healthier, cleaner, more loving and peaceful place. Pollution in all its forms would no longer exist. This is my dream for our future.
