FULL MOON OCTOBER 4th - ARIES 12 DEGREES - 4.11 PM AEST: SUN IN ARIES

This astrological lunar month will focus on the energies of Aries and Libra therefore relationship themes are likely to be highlighted. “How can I consciously create inner balance so that my relationships with others are harmonious?” Can be a relevant question to ask your self at this time. To aid your understanding I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Aries and Libra.  We all have these energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees, however most people are unconscious of them. These Moon Musings enable you to become conscious and self-aware of the current cosmic frequencies.

Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 12 degrees of Aries/Libra/Cancer/ Capricorn, all cardinal signs, will feel the affects of this Full Moon more so than other people.  Why not check out your birth chart before this cosmic event so you can prepare to experience greater self-awareness and illumination of the themes mentioned below? If you do not have a copy of your birth chart you can ‘click here’ to access one.

Aries:   Is the energy of new beginnings.  It is a fire sign and relates to our ability to ‘get up and go/do for ourself’.  Some of the key words associated with Aries are:  independent; active, confident, assertive, dynamic, pioneer, entrepreneur: bully, selfish, inconsiderate, self-centred, aggressive, dominating, anger, frustration.

Libra:  Is and air sign relating to mental thought programmes. Libra is the peacemaker and diplomat. Libra often considers the other above self so can easily play out the ‘doormat’, especially in relationships.  Some of the keywords associated with issues and themes of Libra are: considerate, cooperative, peaceful, harmonious, fair, equality, justice, beauty, symmetry, balance, mediator: inactive, inertia, NICE (Nothing Inside of me Cares Enough), lacks confidence, dependent, social butterfly, superficial.

In April this year the Full Moon was in Libra whilst the Sun was positioned moving through Aries.   This is opposite to the energies of this October Full Moon. There may be some issue or theme that began in April that now resurrects to be completed. Why not reflect upon this?

There is always a way out of relationship confrontations without having to give a part of yourself away.  It may take patience and effort to find it. How can you find the way?  By inner reflection, self-analysis and the willingness to cooperate with your opposing inner warring forces. This aids the development of conscious self-awareness, acceptance and self- understanding. Who needs another tug of war?

How do you know what these opposing forces are? Your partner, or a significant other? in your life, will be playing out your unconscious projections for you! This other person with whom you have an emotional charge will be acting as your mirror.  What do you see in the other that you do not like?  What do you see that you do like?  These traits and characteristics are in you but you may deny their existence. However, it is impossible to see in another what is not in your self!

I’ll offer an example here.  Let’s say your partner with whom you have an emotional charge is acting irresponsibly in an area of life - for example finances.   No matter how careful you are with money your partner still doesn’t ‘get it’ and continues to be irresponsible.  Your emotional frustration and fear increases. You can see your survival threatened.   However your partner may be playing out your projected irresponsibility so you can see your game in another area of life.  All you have to do is search inwardly to find out where you are acting irresponsibly to yourself.   The key word and theme is responsibility. When you find the area of life and are prepared to be courageous enough to act responsibly relating to it, magic happens.  Your partner has taught you well about the theme of responsibility and you have cleaned up your act! The game is over!

Should you play out your dysfunctional Libra to a greater extent than your Aries then you are likely to experience suppressed anger and frustration.  This suppressed energy has to go somewhere.  It is fiery and will boil up inside eventually creating headaches, skin rashes and any health problem related to inflammation.  Should you experience these complaints the solution is to get in touch with the source of your anger and frustration, acknowledge it as true for you and do whatever you can to free up the stuck energy.  For example you might choose to scream your frustration and anger into a pillow, beating it until you get in touch with the buried emotion.  The emotion may be grief, sadness or hurt.   The anger covers up many other emotions. You may choose to punch a punching bag until you get in touch with the suppressed emotion - or run and run.   The important thing is to take responsibility for the suppressed energy and act responsibly to set it free.  It is yours.  No one did it to you!  Please do not dump this dense energy onto another person.

One of the great values of astrology is that it provides a language and associated psychological themes to attain higher consciousness through self-awareness.   I chose the word ‘responsibility’ because of the following planetary configuration that will be present at this Full Moon.   Some of the other key word themes written above may also arise.

Saturn and Mercury in Virgo are enjoying a pleasant chat together at this Full Moon indicating that responsible communication will aid the development of mature and successful long-term relationships.  Responsible, open, truthful, non-judgmental and non-blaming communication from the heart can save troubled partnerships and marriages!

It may be hard for some to attentively listen to the other because the Aries part of you might want to jump in and rudely interrupt.  However, if you are considerate of the other and carefully listen to feel truth you may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.   Both Saturn and Mercury can be unfeeling because Saturn rules the structure of consciousness and Mercury rules the words we speak.   Therefore it is important to consciously engage your feeling nature if you desire truthful communication.

The cosmic chat between these two planetary forces can also be an indicator of success of long-term plans that have a solid, practical foundation.

Mars and the South Node of the Moon are dancing together through Cancer indicating that an old survival or insecurity issue can arise again to be reviewed, and responsibility taken so you can heal it.  Alternatively your caring and home loving nature can come to the fore and you may want to support those less fortunate that yourself.  Marsis the planet that rules this Full Moon sign of Aries so there is likely to be some fiery energy flying around the home front.  However, there is also an opportunity to create a dynamic new beginning that feels energizing and uplifting.  This new beginning can be in your outer or inner worlds.  For example you can choose to totally let go of an old insecurity habit that no longer serves you once you identify it.   This action would enable a new, more balanced state of being in you.

It may be that an old partner/friend may re-enter your life. This person may have strong Aries/Libra characteristics.  You may choose to work together to create a humanitarian ideal that resonates deeply for you both. This possibility is indicated because Marsand South Node in Cancer are aligned harmoniously with Uranus (humanitarian, futuristic concepts) and Juno, the Goddess of marriage/partnerships.

May you choose to be guided by the forces of Natural Law and follow the wisdom of your heart.

Blessings and Love
