FULL MOON NOVEMBER 3 TAURUS 11 DEGREES 5.15 AM

This astrological month the Moon cycle focus is on the Taurus/Scorpio polarity. The question to ask your self becomes “How can I attain self-awareness and self-understanding about these two internal opposing forces to enable greater balance, joy and love in my life?  To aid your understanding I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Taurus/Scorpio.  We all have these zodiacal energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees. Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 11 degrees of Taurus/Scorpio/Leo/Aquarius, all fixed signs, will feel the affects of this Full Moon more so than others.

The birth chart planets and points act like acupuncture points in our four bodies i.e. spiritual, mental, emotional and physical. Negative dysfunctional mental and emotional energy stagnates and solidifies at these places when old psychological issues remain unconscious and unresolved. Throughout life, via the magnetic Law of Attraction, repeated similarly related dense psychological patterning gathers energetic mass that eventually creates illness and disease. Astro-physicists have now concluded we are made of stardust so it’s wise to learn your inner zodiacal components.

Taurus:  An earth sign meaning all that is grounded, earthed, practical and material.  Earth signs rule our physical body and practical world.  Key words: Themes:  values/ talents/resources and the ability to create substance and abundance from your resources and talents.
Functional
: abundance, substance, self-sufficiency, self-worth, sensual, beauty of nature, determined, wealth, money, quality, secure financially, respects body and its senses.
Dysfunctional: stubborn, resistant to change, insecure financially, greedy, lazy, rut bound, mean, fixed, indulgent, slothful, possessive, attached to comfort zone.

Taurus rules the throat chakra and thyroid.   Any health problems in this area are based on the unwillingness to speak from the heart the truth of deep-seated feelings.  Taurus is also related to sound and the quality of sound we speak.  You can ask yourself the question “Do I speak with resonant sound waves that originate from my heart or do I speak with dissonance by being out of touch with my heart felt truth?” Your truthful answer and the appropriate positive action taken as a result can enhance your life.

Scorpio:  a water sign meaning all that is fluid.  The water element rules our emotional body. Key words: Themes:  death/rebirth/ sex/money/shared resources.
Functional: self-empowerment, psychological detective, research, deep, penetrating, focused, passion, able to manage well shared resources and release old habits, fulfilling sex;
Dysfunctional:
powerless, secretive, manipulative, revenge, resentment, jealousy, envy, hatred; dangerous, forceful, obsessive, interfering in other people’s business, poisonous, prostitution, underhand, toxic sex.

The parts of the body affected by dense and poisonous emotional energy are the eliminatory and sexual organs.  There are three pictograph symbols for Scorpio as:  The scorpion that stings it’s own tail and dies; the eagle who is able to fly above the density of the physical world to see the bigger picture and the phoenix, the mythical bird who has the ability to rise from the ashes of the former self.  These three states of being symbolically relate to the spiritual evolutionary process of the Scorpio energy.

This Full Moon can bring a timely reminder of the importance of choosing to generate and maintain good health and physical vitality.   It is time to reconnect to your body and its’ senses.  What is your body conveying to you?  Are you listening to its’ many messages? At this time you might choose to indulge your senses with an oil bath, a massage, cook a special meal or treat yourself to a health spa or a weekend yoga retreat.

Each astrological sign relates to a different part of the body and the psychological themes relating to that sign affect the particular body part positively or adversely.  Medical science is now beginning to recognize what indigenous healers have known for thousands of years.  And that is that dense mental and emotional energy affects the internal workings of the body adversely.   In Tibet a medical student still cannot get a degree in medicine until he/she has studied and passed astrology examinations.  This takes many extra years of study.

Ancient indigenous people did not suffer the diseases we do now because they knew how to manage their personal life force energy currents. They learned to practice their natural sacred wisdom teachings, developed and orally passed down over thousands of years of observation and practice.   They revered and honoured Mother Earth and the bounty and sustenance she provided.   This positive energy aided the continuing stability of our planet.  Not so now!

Emotions and thoughts are energy in motion.   Every thought you think and emotion you feel goes somewhere.   If the toxic emotion is denied, suppressed or repressed it implodes and eventually manifests as illness.  It is wise to become acutely self-aware, and non-judgmental, of the thoughts you think and emotions you feel.  Learn to be the conscious observer of your psychological games and choose to only think, feel and express love in action.    Your health will improve dramatically as a result. The health of the planet will also improve.

At this November 2009 Full Moon Venus, the planetary ruler of Taurus, will be in challenging aspect to the Nodal Axis (the path of our soul’s destiny). Relationships that are on rocky ground could collapse because emotions will be heightened, especially around the money/sex/shared resources themes. Subtle and not so subtle power plays could be experienced so it would be wise indeed to become aware of any relationship undercurrents and not allow the density of emotional poison to consume you.   Watch that you do not sting your own tail and self-destruct!  The pure essential oils I recommend to aid your Taurus/Scorpio balance are abundance and joy for Taurus and release and transformation for Scorpio.

If your relationship is psychologically healthy, genuine and true, rather than co-dependant, needy, insecure and powerless, it is a good time to recommit to strengthening it through warm, honest words along with expressions and actions of loving feelings and the creation of a joint co-operative project that empowers you both.

As mentioned in my previous New Moon Musings, the planet Saturn enters the sign of Libra on 30th October.  His journey through Libra will last until October 2012.   The archetypal energy of Saturn is that of the Timekeeper, Examiner and the Lord of Karma.  Whatever has been created in a relationship will have its effect.   Should the relationship degenerate into secretive, obsessive, revengeful emotions, filled with possessiveness, greed, manipulation and jealousy, the resultant effect will be experienced during this two and half year journey.  It would be wise to reflect on your intimate relationships and assess if you have operated from a clean, positive, open, mature, self-aware and loving perspective or not.   If not there will be new action you need to take to rectify the situation.

The Sun, Mercury and the asteroid goddess Ceres are positioned in Scorpio and they oppose this Full Moon in Taurus.  Therefore, through Ceres, there could be verbal power plays between mother and daughter.  Mothers, become aware if your daughter demonstrates some of the Scorpio negativity and talk to her openly about her feelings and deepest emotions.  Do your best to encourage her to acknowledge and take responsibility for them and then to let them go.   Alternatively she might see your power plays and challenge you to own and release them.

Because of the hard aspect to the Full Moon from Mars in Leo and Jupiter in Aquarius there could be a challenge for some to lovingly express their feelings.  Emotions of rejection and abandonment might arise and they will need to be acknowledged as truth; loved and honoured.  They are real and it would be wise not to cover them up.  They represent the little child part of you who feels inadequate, little and unloved.   The mature “you” can offer love and acknowledgement to that small part of you and then the pain will ease.

With this configuration there is a wonderful opportunity to observe any childish psychological games and to make the mature decision to release them, change and move forward   Opportunities to act positively upon a humanitarian global ideal could emerge and this new action would help alleviate any old painful emotions of lack of self love and self-worth, separation and abandonment. This planetary challenge could also manifest as an opportunity to place a higher value on your self and move forward confidently into a completely new direction in your life, one free from old wounds.

May you choose the Force of Light and Love to guide you always
Blessings and love,
Ashtara
