FULL MOON JAN 30th 2010 11 DEGREES LEO - 4.17 PM AEST

This is the second full Moon to fall in the month of January 2010 in the AEST time zone. The first one took place on 1st January. This upcoming one is in a different sign therefore different energies are involved. 

To aid your understanding of the cosmic energies I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Leo/Aquarius.  We all have these zodiacal energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees. Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 11 degrees Leo/Aquarius/Taurus/Scorpio, all signs of the fixed cross, will experience the effects of this Moon cycle more so than others.

Leo: The Lion - a fire sign meaning the fire of your internal spirit.  In the functional:  leader, star, creative, courage of the lion, fiery, loving, generous, warm, open, spontaneous, enjoys children and is child-like.   In the dysfunctional: childish, cowardly, unconsciously seeks from others love, attention, approval and recognition. Proud, arrogant, superior, self-centred, self-aggrandizement, unloved, carries the magnet of rejection.

Aquarius: The Water Bearer -an air sign associated with mental function and capacity. Functional:  self-aware, conscious, self-observant, free, space, futuristic; inventive, innovative, reform; humanitarian, friends, groups and causes.  Dysfunctional:  scattered, ‘airhead’, disconnected from heart, body and spirit, separation, abandoned, rebellious.

Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 11 degrees of Leo/Aquarius/Scorpio or Taurus (all fixed signs) will feel the affects of this Full Moon more so than others.   The birth chart planets and points can be likened to acupuncture points in the mind and body.  Negative mental and emotional energy stagnates and solidifies in certain body parts relating to the zodiacal signs when old psychological issues remain unconscious and unresolved. Throughout life, via the magnetic Law of Attraction, repeated similarly related dense psychological patterning gathers energetic mass that eventually develops into illness and disease. The body part ‘acts up’ according to the related psychological theme contained within the energetic package.

The parts of the body associated with Leo are the heart and blood whereas with Aquarius they are the nervous and circulatory systems and ankles.  Heart attacks and strokes occur when the essence of love and heart felt creativity is not permitted to flow harmoniously through the blood.  

 At certain astrological times cosmic energy becomes available to gain awareness of the self-destructive issues and themes that create illness and disease. Through the development of conscious self-awareness and by taking positive affirming action, healing takes place.  The dense energy pattern shatters when the light of higher consciousness shines upon it.   Greater health and wellbeing is the result.   In other words psychological issues are highlighted at specific cosmic timing to enable evolutionary spiritual growth.  Before that growth occurs you will react like a programmed robot. However you can choose to see yourself objectively and clearly and decide to change. Our lives are governed by cosmic timing!  Astrology is a great tool to help you gain multi-dimensional consciousness through self-awareness and detached self-observation. You can chose to work with cosmic currents rather than against them.  

At this Full Moon, when emotions will be heightened, some of the Leo/Aquarius issues and themes will arise according to the key words outlined above. During this Leo/Aquarius 28 day Moon cycle you are likely to experience a burst of creative and innovate energy and this energy requires a physical outlet.  Change is in the air!  It would be wise to say a final farewell to old patterns of resistance and go with the changes you feel you need to make that will free you from stagnant conditions.   This will lead you into unchartered waters and a new future direction.   You will need to trust that you have all the creative abilities within you to move forward confidently in your new direction.      

At this Full Moon the planet Mars is still retrograde and is conjunct the Leo Full Moon.  This means you are likely to be reactivating or revisiting your past.   This revisit can take the form of you re-actioning unresolved psychological drama games or, in the positive expression, reactivating past creative gifts and talents that nourish your soul and create heart felt excitement and joy.

Should you unconsciously use the energy dysfunctionally you have the opportunity to become a detached observer of your psychological patterning so can decide to change.   When the past patterning is healed you allow the space for a new lighter frequency to enter your energetic matrix.   A lightness and vibrancy of spirit leading to greater well being and health will be the result.

In the Full Moon chart Venus conjuncts the Sun in Aquarius whilst opposing the Full Moon and Mars.   Venus and the Moon are feminine archetypes, whereas Mars and the Sun are masculine.  These cosmic frequencies provide an opportunity for harmony and balance between your inner masculine and feminine.  When inner harmony and balance is attained through the release of disharmonious energies magic can happen - and does!  It pays to become aware of, and release without judgment, old negative patterning.  Instead of judging yourself as wrong why not look upon it as a childish part of you that has now ‘seen the light’ and matured accordingly -  You can then make the decision to never, ever play that game again because the consequences of doing so are far too great.  

Saturn is now retrograde in Libra providing opportunities for serious reflection as to where and why you have unconsciously created imbalance in your life.  Relationship issues could arise that need sorting and decisions made to change your life accordingly. This is likely to be relatively easy because Saturn is in harmonious relationship to the Sun/Venus at this time.

Fulfilment in relationships can now take place providing you have done the inner work necessary to attain a state of inner balance and peace. 

Jupiter is now waltzing through Pisces. For those who have planets in your birth chart around early degrees of Pisces you might like to reflect upon 1998 and what was taking place in your life during that year.  You will have experienced an opportunity for evolutionary growth.  This may have taken the form of overseas travel or a new course of study or work. It may have come about through suffering loss. In some way spiritual growth and expansion to your life will have taken place.  Well, guess what?  That opportunity is around again!   It would be wise to go with the expansion and growth offered, as it will be beneficial in the long run. 

Mercury is now direct so any problems you have had with communication, communication devices or delays with contracts are likely to be sorted.
