You who have planets or points around the above degree in the fixed signs of Taurus/Scorpio/Leo and Aquarius will experience this Full Moon more so than others.  Why not check your birth chart so you can prepare yourself to work with the energy?

During this Full Moon phase, a two and half day process, you have the opportunity to create greater self-empowerment through regeneration and a restructuring of your resources, talents and values. You may experience a rebirth into a new state of being. Before regeneration and rebirth can take place a release of old “stuff” needs to occur.   Old “stuff” (psychological patterns) is likely to relate to some of the following issues:- Underhand power plays via issues relating to sex, money, shared values and joint resources. You may feel that relationships are hard and have difficulty in expressing your truth. Trust and betrayal of trust can also be themes that arise. Some formerly hidden secrets may be revealed.  Deeply rooted financial issues could raise their head so your part in creating them can be understood and corrected.

This Full Moon phase also provides an opportunity for deep transformational healing and purification. Intimacy and inspired revelations are probable. A profound metamorphosis of consciousness is possible should you be willing to identify, accept, own and totally release old self-destructive thoughts, emotions and behavior. The resultant conscious self-awareness provides your four bodies (spiritual, mental, emotional and physical) with synthesized cognition that then opens energy channels to enable greater light to infuse your bodies.

The metamorphosis process can be related to the cocooned caterpillar that transforms into it’s designed potential, that of a beautiful light butterfly flying free above its former lower world.  You too are designed to reach your highest potential and your birth chart clearly indicates this.   However to do so, a metamorphoses of consciousness needs to take place.  This Full Moon in Scorpio, the most powerful sign of the zodiac, is an opportunity to consciously work with the process of becoming the best you can be. 

Following are some key words that relate to Scorpio, and its opposing sign of Taurus.
The two signs cannot be understood in isolation because they are two poles of the one dynamic. 

Scorpio:  a water sign meaning all that is fluid.  The water element rules our emotional body. Scorpio emotions are intense and the truth of them can be buried very deep.  Key words: Themes:  death/rebirth/ sex/money/ power/shared resources.   Functional: self-empowerment, psychological detective, research, deep, penetrating, focused, passion, able to manage well shared resources and release old self-destructive habits, fulfilling sacred sex; Dysfunctional: powerless, secretive, manipulative, revenge, resentment, jealousy, envy, hatred; dangerous, forceful, obsessive, interfering in other people’s business, poisonous, prostitution, underhand, toxic sex.

The parts of the body affected by dense and poisonous psychological energy are the eliminatory and sexual organs.  There are three pictograph symbols for Scorpio that relate to three different levels of consciousness as:  The scorpion that stings it’s own tail and dies (the unconscious state of being); the eagle who is able to fly above the density of the physical world to see the bigger picture (transitioning into higher consciousness) and the phoenix, the mythical bird who has the ability to rise from the ashes of the former self (attainment of higher consciousness).  These three states of being symbolically relate to the spiritual evolutionary process of the Scorpio energy that is within you.  

Taurus:  An earth sign meaning all that is grounded, earthed, practical and material.  Earth signs rule our physical body and practical world.  Key words: Themes:  values/ talents/resources and the ability to create substance and abundance from your natural resources and talents.  Functional: abundance, substance, self-sufficiency, self-worth, sensual, beauty of nature, determined, wealth, money, quality, secure financially, respects body and its senses. Dysfunctional: stubborn, resistant to change, insecure financially, greedy, lazy, rut bound, mean, fixed, indulgent, slothful, possessive, attached to comfort zone.   Taurus rules the throat chakra and thyroid.   Any health problems in this area are based on the unwillingness to speak from the heart the truth of deep-seated feelings.  Taurus is also related to sound and the quality of sound we speak.  You can ask yourself the question “Do I speak with resonant sound waves that originate from my heart or do I speak with dissonance by being out of touch with my heart felt truth?” Your truthful answer and the appropriate positive action taken as a result can enhance your life.

This Full Moon phase is a good time to join others in toning and chanting to enable a clearing of the throat chakra.

Transiting Jupiter and Uranus are now waltzing together again after many long years of separation. These are the two planetary energies that enable your accelerated advance in consciousness.  One way they do this is to help you see how some of your old beliefs no longer have value and need discarding.  When these are understood and released new futuristic concepts will enter your consciousness. You will feel excited at the new stretch presented.   Staying stuck in a comfort zone of security does not enable forward movement.

 These two planetary players are tightly opposing the Lord of Karma and Time, Saturn.  What does this mean? Saturn, the archetypal stern taskmaster, requires structure, form, commitment and self-discipline.  Uranus and Jupiter require liberation from chains that bind to enable freedom.  These opposing forces can create internal havoc.   What is the way out? Both polarities need expression. “It’s time”, says Saturn, “to make a concerted effort to complete all work that needs to be done so you can free yourself from the extra burdens of responsibility you have taken on during the past two years”. “Once you do this”, says Uranus and Jupiter, “you will begin to glimpse your future direction and the stretch you must make to get there”.  (Saturn takes approximately two and a half years to move through a sign and went into Virgo in September2007.  It finally leaves Virgo on July 22nd this year and will not return until 2036).

On April 17th Mercury moved retrograde until June 10th and this time Mercury is in Taurus, an earth sign. This means that you could experience communication problems especially with electronic gadgetry such as computers, faxes and radios.  Any contracts signed during this time may take a long time to come to fruition.  Make sure they are based on a solid foundation and check all the fine details.  

It is a good time to improve your inner and outer communication skills so you relate from a stable and grounded love base. Our inner communication is so important because the energy of our thoughts attracts like.  Become aware of your inner critic, thank it for sharing and encourage it to move from your mind permanently to enable uplifting thoughts to guide.

This is the WESAK Full Moon and as such is one of the most powerful and intense Full Moon phases in the annual calendar. What does Wesak mean? It is an annual global spiritual festival that celebrates and commemorates Buddha’s enlightenment. It is said that, in Tibet, there is a valley situated on a high plateau in the Himalayan mountains where thousands of global pilgrims gather each year to celebrate Wesak.  On the day of the full moon the crowd, mostly dressed in white, sit on their blankets in silence, meditating.  At a given moment, sensed by the assembled gathering, sacred chanting begins.

As the chanting reaches a crescendo The Christ and other spiritual Masters descend in their etheric form to take their place before the gathering. Just a few seconds before the full moon the hushed and reverent crowd observe Lord Gautama Buddha, sitting cross-legged in his yellow garment, descend to a position slightly above the crowd, flooding the assembled gathering with his great light. His right hand is raised in a blessing.  Christ then chants the Great Invocation thus creating a huge current of high frequency energy that passes through the hearts of the assembled gathering. This is a sacred moment, a moment when humanity and divinity are one. The Masters then chant sacred sounds as the Great Enlightened One, after blessing the crowd, slowly ascends.

Why not create an internal calm and sacred place, still your mind and, with reverence and gratitude choose to commit to your personal enlightenment process?  Once this empowering commitment is sincerely and genuinely made through your heart and soul, magic will start to happen.  Synchronicities will abound and you will be given many opportunities to grow.
