FULL MOON LUNAR ECLIPSE 26TH JUNE 9.30 PM 5 DEGREES CAPRICORN
Any Full or New Moon connected to an eclipse provides a greater potency of cosmic energy. The themes of this eclipse series, according to highly respected Australian astrologer Bernadette Brady in her book The Eagle and the Lark, indicate that opportunities to accept greater responsibilities can come suddenly into a person’s life. The events that bring in these opportunities may seem difficult but the outcomes are positive because there is likely to be an increased level of self-esteem and harmony.
This eclipse series falls on the Cancer/Capricorn axis. This Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse has the Moon posited in Capricorn whilst the Sun opposite is in Cancer, both at 5 degrees. The New Moon and Solar Eclipse, 14 days later, will have both the Sun and Moon at 20 degrees of Cancer. The themes of an eclipse series can last for some months so be aware of where you are directing your energy.
To aid your understanding I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Cancer/Capricorn. We all have these zodiacal energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees. Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 5 degrees Cancer/Capricorn/ Aries and Libra, all cardinal signs, will experience the effects of this Eclipse series and Moon cycle more so than others.
Cancer: The Crab. Functional: Home and family lover, supportive, caring, nurturing, ‘mother’ archetype, sensitive, psychic, memories, emotional mastery. Opposites attract in order to learn from each other. During this Moon cycle you may experience tests and challenges to overcome your fears. It would be wise to choose to pass the tests so you can experience the rewards of having done so. You may be tested to take on extra responsibility through a family member. You may be tested to assertively express your needs to a perceived authority, possibly a family member. You may feel attached to your home and family yet feel a pull to move forward in your career life. It is important to let go of any past unhappy memories and move on. You may need to separate yourself from your old life for a period of time in order to gain a more objective perspective.
Major transformational change is possible now, both individually and collectively. A shift into higher consciousness is happening. More global groups may form with the one consciousness-raising ideal: to awaken humanity through loving service. More dynamic pioneers in the consciousness movement may step forward.
Why not be willing to embrace a higher and broader perspective to your life? Some old structures of your life can shift because this eclipse, so close to the solstice, highlights extremes. It can also highlight rebellion. You may have come as far down a particular road as you can go right now and need to make some conscious uplifting and broadening changes. Being willing to change is the first step towards making constructive changes. Know that many alternatives always exist. However, you may be so involved in day-to- day detail that you are unable to see them. If so, you will need to open your mind to new perspectives. Experiment with them. Make different choices. This full Moon is full of potential and a little extra effort can take you a long way towards creating an entirely new way of life.
Uranus, the planet that brings change, sometimes through chaos and upset, is energetically jiving with Jupiter in Aries. They are enjoying themselves even though stern taskmaster Saturn may not be too happy with their cosmic antics! This cosmic configuration last occurred in 1692, the year of the infamous Salem witch trials. Maybe those once maligned keepers of ancient sacred wisdom will emerge to shine their light again? This was also a year when a massive earthquake and tsunami destroyed the Jamaican capitol of Port Royal. Cycles repeat! These three planetary players will also bring huge pioneering advances to both inner and outer technology. Both technologies are already connecting via Quantum Physics.
Uranus and Jupiter are the planets that provide the energy channels for higher consciousness and broadening life experiences. Through the Aries sign this is an opportunity to develop greater confidence and be willing to claim the full potential of your birth-right, as uniquely evidenced in your birth chart.
Neptune and Chiron, still waltzing together, are now in retrograde motion. They will revisit the last few Aquarian zodiacal degrees to make sure those individuals with these degrees in their birth charts have healed their inner rejection, separation and abandonment wounds and cleared the mist of self-doubt, confusion, illusion and deception from their minds. For those who are experiencing this connection expect illumination and greater clarity. Clarity leads to empowerment. At this Full Moon it would be advantageous to meditate and visualize a mist dissolving in your mind. This will enable greater clarity. Then you will be able to embrace wider and higher perspective to your life.
The North Node, Moon and Pluto merge at this eclipse and Full Moon. This is a very powerful package of energy. Pluto rules the evolutionary journey of the soul and the North Node determines the soul’s direction/destiny. This destiny pathway is sometimes a difficult mountain for an individual to climb because it means releasing past habits, fears and limitations. However, the view at the summit is so worthwhile!
Many opportunities bound, even in seemingly dark times. Take heart in the understanding that your heart will always guide you well. Underneath the ego games that involve fear, limitation and barriers resides a beautiful spark of soul light. Embrace your fears and move through them and then follow your light.
