So what are the characteristics and themes of Gemini that may be highlighted at this time?  Some key words are:  twin; communication, curiosity, knowledge, quick, mental as anything, thought, language, restless, movement and networking.

Gemini likes to talk and talk! Listening can be a problem though!  Communication is the main theme of this Musing. We communicate everyday with our inner self via our thoughts, and with others through the verbal and written word.  Our body language is another form of communication.

Many marriages break up because of communication problems so it is wise indeed to become the objective observer of our communication style and to take responsibility for the manner in which we communicate.   It is the energy behind the words we speak that has the greatest impact. For example:  If you are feeling angry, resentment, jealous, envious, revengeful, rejected, judgmental etc and communicate through these dense emotions, the recipient will feel as if poisonous barbs have entered their heart and energy field. These barbs can take a long time to heal.  

Communicating truth responsibly from our heart via loving, caring and compassionate feelings is something that can be learned. It requires being a fully present self-observer at the time of an interchange.   However many people with strong Gemini in their energetic make-up find this process incredibly difficult. We westerners have been, and still are programmed to communicate from our brains that are so filled with other people’s conditions and beliefs.  We can so easily take others’ beliefs and ideas as our own yet they may not sit well as truth within our body, feelings and heart.

Quantum physics has proven that we humans are the creators of our own reality and that, by the very fact of observing and focusing on something we begin to change that something.   Therefore, if you do not like where you are “at” in your life, created mostly unconsciously by your thoughts and beliefs, then this New Moon offers the opportunity for new seeds of conscious positive change.

You could choose to commence a daily truth journal in which you write your feelings about yourself and your life.  This process will develop clarity of mind.  And clarity leads to self-empowerment. You can ask yourself the question – “Is there something in my life I would like to change?” Your external life is a reflection of your internal thought programmes so it will be very easy to see the areas in which your life may need to change.  Maybe you will choose to break through the concrete walls that surround beliefs that say: “I can’t do this”, or “I’m not good enough” or “I’m too old” or  “I don’t have a certificate” “There’s only one way to do this “ etc? We all have a bundle of unique talents that can be utilized for our greater good and the greater good of the planet when we choose to become aware of them.  

Transiting Mercury, the planetary ruler of Gemini, is retrograde at this time so many people could be experiencing problems with their communication devices.  I’ve learned that any legal contracts signed under a Mercury retrograde transit often collapse or take a long time to finalise.  Mercury goes into direct motion on 31st May so any issues and problems can be rectified then.      
 
This curious Gemini New Moon offers illuminating inspiration because of the exact triple alignment between Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune. Be mindful and open-minded because insightful conversations and new information can enable powerful shifts in consciousness. Your mind does need to be still and calm to receive insights. 

Why not plant seeds of new learning in the fertile “soil” of your mind?  It is a good time to begin a course of study that can carry you further on your spiritual journey.  Make sure the study resonates with the truth of your heart-felt feelings, as this will make your learning easy and fun.   You could be challenged to speak the truth of your feelings.

In order to create the response you want it’s important to take responsibility for the manner in which you communicate.   This New Moon is in challenging aspect to Pluto, the great transformer, so there is an opportunity to transform, through self-understanding, awareness and communicating skills, an old shadow aspect of your self. Regeneration and renewal will result.
