NEW MOON AQUARIUS 26 DEGREES FEBRUARY 14TH 2010 12.51PM AEST

The recent Full Moon in Leo was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. From my vantage point it appeared so much larger than normal.  I am sensitive to the energies of the Moon and I was awake for some hours on this night with creative ideas arising into my purposefully blanked mind. I made the decision to act upon them.

To aid your understanding of the cosmic energies of this New February Moon cycle I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of Leo/Aquarius.  We all have these zodiacal energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees. Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around 26 degrees Aquarius Leo/ Taurus/Scorpio, all signs of the fixed cross, will feel the subtle effects of this New Moon more so than others.

Leo: The Lion - a fire sign meaning the fire of your internal spirit.  In the functional:  leader, star, creative, courage of the lion, fiery, loving, generous, warm, open, spontaneous, enjoys children and is child-like.   In the dysfunctional: childish, cowardly, unconsciously seeks from others love, attention, approval and recognition. Proud, arrogant, superior, self-centred, self-aggrandizement, unloved, carries the magnet of rejection.

Aquarius: The Water Bearer -an air sign associated with mental function and capacity. Functional:  self-aware, conscious, self-observant, free, space, futuristic; inventive, innovative, reform; humanitarian, friends, groups and causes.  Dysfunctional:  scattered, ‘airhead’, disconnected from heart, body and spirit, separation, abandoned, rebellious.

The parts of the body associated with Leo are the heart and blood whereas with Aquarius they are the nervous and circulatory systems and ankles.  Heart attacks and strokes occur when the essence of love and heart felt creativity is not permitted to flow harmoniously through the blood.   When unconsciously misusing the Aquarian energy you can experience problems with weak ankles, cramping and excess electrical currents coursing through the mind and body.  This over stimulating energy can create nervous disorders.  The remedy is to learn to understand and manage the subtleties of cosmic energy that course through your body, rather than allowing them to keep you bound in chains so you suffer unnecessarily.

This electrical New Moon can bring a new direction, one that feels exciting and “right”, even though it may appear to be right off the well-beaten track. It’s time for change!  It can give you the impetus you need to take that step forwards towards a new future, one that resonates deeply with your heart and soul.  Tune in and become aware of any new ideas that spring unaided into your mind.  Choose the ones that resonate with your heart and soul.   Have the courage of the lion to pursue them.  No, you can’t plan/control/ the direction but you can enjoy the ride.

At this February 2010 New Moon there are five planets moving through Aquarius and three in Pisces.  The Aquarian planets are:  Mercury, Moon, Sun, Chiron and Neptune.  The Piscean planets are Venus, Jupiter and Uranus.  This is an expansive package of energy that will bring opportunities for spiritual growth and broader understanding of self and your world.  You might get the impetus to begin a new course of study that will take you into unknown realms of enjoyment.

Chiron and Neptune join with the Sun and Moon at this time.  Chiron offers the opportunity to heal old wounds around separation, abandonment and rejection that lead to feelings of being unloved and unlovable.  Have compassion for yourself and choose to become aware of the part you play in your life dramas.  Remember it is never about the other in your life.   It is all about you and how you re-act to situations.

Imagine for a moment that everyone in your life is a reflection of a part of yourself.   Choose to look carefully in the mirror.  Take the advice of Michael Jackson – look first at the ‘Man in the Mirror’ to make the change!  Whatever you judge in the other is in you.  Whatever you love, admire, respect in the other is in you.  You couldn’t identify it in another if it wasn’t in you.  Have the courage to accept as true what you see reflected.

Neptune offers the opportunity for the veils in your mind to part so you can see your self-defeating psychological games more clearly.  It is then you can choose to take appropriate forward action to engender positive change to your life.   Neptune also offers a spiritual vision to aid your personal aspirations.  Why not choose to be still and meditate a few hours prior to the exact time of the New Moon so you provide the opportunity for Spirit to work through you? Maybe light a few candles and play some beautiful music to uplift your spirit.  A New Moon is a time when seeds of new beginnings can be planted in the fertile soil of your mind.  Choose them well.

Vesta, the goddess of commitment to the internal flame, is holding six of the seven planets mentioned above in the palm of her hand.  She is the kite runner and her kite is flying high.   She wants you to stretch yourself beyond wherever you’ve been before, take a leap forward and fly high into the unknown.

May you choose her path of commitment to your internal flame of spirit

Blessings and love,
