FULL MOON ARIES 19 DEGREES 12.05 PM OCTOBER 12TH 2011This Full Moon it is likely to bring up relationship imbalances to enable you to consciously make changes. If so it would be wise to review the keywords and themes listed below to gain greater clarity. Saturn and Sun are bedfellows at this time so there is a seriousness and sense of responsibility connected to this phase. This combination could attract someone older, wiser or of more professional status and authority, who can guide you into understanding your problems. It would be timely to seek professional help for any difficulties you may be experiencing. It is important, within the context of a relationship, to maintain one’s sense of independence and this could well be an issue that arises. From another perspective it is also a very good time to commit to undertaking a new course of creative expression that uplifts your spirit and warms your heart. Is there some creative pursuit you have been yearning to do yet always thought you couldn’t do- for whatever reason? This is the time to follow that yearning. The confidence will be there! Just do it! Mars is in Leo so ego games could be higher than normal. Be mindful! On the other hand the best use of this energy is to allow your creativity and feelings of love full expression. There will be a line-up of four cosmic bodies in Libra at this time as the Sun, Saturn, goddess Juno and Mercury. Juno (the goddess of marriage and committed relationships) challenges goddess Pallas Athene to fight for peace, justice, fairness and balance, especially within relationship. However, Pallas may need some convincing! After all she was her Daddy’s girl and fought his armies to win wars, not to create peace. Peace is a feminine characteristic and Pallas Athene denounced her femininity. Old orders do need to change and equality, fairness and harmony is now the name of the relating game. Five thousand years of warfare has not created peace, in fact quite the opposite! Control and force do not work so well in our relating world any more. Consideration, co-operation and caring are the forces that do. Libra is opposite Aries in the zodiacal map and the two signs form a polarity of energies, each needing the other in order to create balance and harmony. Aries needs to consider others (which is often a life long lesson) and Libra needs to consider self equally to others (which can also be a life-long lesson). The Aries/Libra polarity reigns supreme at this time and this can be understood simply as ME (Aries) and WE (Libra). Those who have planets or points around 19 degrees in Aries/Libra/Cancer or Capricorn, all cardinal signs, will feel the need for balance, harmony, fairness and justice more so than others. Why not refer to your birth chart to see the areas of life (houses) affected by this Full Moon? To aid your understanding of the Aries/Libra issues and themes I’ll list some key words associated to them. Aries: Is the energy of new beginnings. It is a fire sign and relates to our ability to “get up and go/do for ourselves”. Some of the key words associated with the issues and themes of Aries are: Functional: independent; proactive, confident, assertive, dynamic, pioneer, entrepreneur: enjoys new beginnings and physical exercise. (Physical exercise is necessary to ground the fiery energy that courses through our bodies). Dysfunctional: bully, hot headed, angry, selfish, inconsiderate, insensitive, self-centred, aggressive and dominating. The opposite zodiacal sign to Aries is Libra. This pair of signs can be likened to two sides of the one coin. You can’t have one without the other. Libra: Is an air sign and air relates to the mind. Libra is the peacemaker and diplomat. Libra often considers ‘the other’ above self so can easily play the “doormat”, especially in relationships. Some of the keywords associated with issues and themes of Libra are: Functional: considerate, cooperative, peaceful, harmonious, fair, equality, justice, beauty, symmetry, balance, mediator: Dysfunctional: inactive, inertia, NICE (Nothing Inside of me Cares Enough), lacks confidence, is dependent on the other, plays doormat, has no sense of personal identity, can be a social butterfly, superficial and insincere. Each of us has behavioural patterning that can regularly do with a spring clean. When we look around the world of today we see how the collective behavioural patterns have created so much war, destruction and depravation. It doesn’t need to be so. If each of us were willing to look inward to identify, accept and correct our negativity then the world would indeed become a better place. May the light of self-understanding, love and the fulfilling pursuit of higher consciousness guide your inner journey Many blessings and much love, Ashtara
