The Full Moon can illuminate previously veiled psychological issues that require conscious attention and affirmative positive action.
This Full Moon chart is very interesting indeed as the cosmic players form two sacred geometric patterns that are vital to the unfoldment of evolutionary purpose. From my 20 years experience working with the most ancient of sciences, astrology, applying it to myself to confirm its accuracy and potency, I’ve learned that the purpose of life is evolutionary soul growth. The planets and stars aid this evolutionary process as they activate the timing of the issues that need to be transformed for growth to occur. We can choose to deny their internal nudge and thus create many problems, and even illness, or we can go with the inner prompt to create ease, joy and grace. When we work consciously with personal evolutionary purpose our life develops deep meaning.
Before I move into describing the two geometric patterns I’ll offer a generalised meaning of this Full Moon in Cancer opposing the Sun in Capricorn. This Moon, in its natural sign, feels at home and comfortable. Nurturing, caring and motherly acts can be some of the feelings generated. This cosmic energy package also offers reflection time relating to balancing your professional and home life.
For example you may realize you have been working far too hard, have lost all your joy and sparkle and this has affected adversely your home and family life, and possibly your health. Alternatively, and this mostly applies to women, you may have a deep desire to take your place in the professional world but feel insecure and helpless so choose, through fear, to stay in the comfort zone of your home and family. This will deplete your energy levels and deny the world at large of your inherent natural abilities.
A nourishing and nurturing home environment provides a solid foundation for success in the outer world so it’s wise to consciously establish this base. A sound psychological foundation is also a necessary ingredient for achieving and sustaining success in the world. When this is attained the wild storms of life no longer have any emotional effect. We learn to flow with the river of life, conscious that the storms have come to move us forward towards evolutionary growth.
Old emotions and memories relating to past home and family issues can well up now, to be reflected upon in order to develop a higher perspective. Cancer is a water sign and relates to our internal “water”, our emotions. Our bodies are comprised of 70% water and our cells contain memories of all our experiences. Some of these memories can waft into our conscious mind through feelings and emotions under this Moon. On a global level the ocean tides can be very high now, reflecting the high emotional tides of the collective. There may even be an acceleration of icebergs melting and seas rising.
The two geometric patterns mentioned above are referred to as a Mystic Rectangle and a Yod. The Yod is often described as the “Finger of Fate” or “Hand of God”. It is a mentally stressful configuration requiring a permanent change of perspective to heal. For those who have this pattern in your birth chart you will probably find it difficult to move forward in your life until the psychological issues contained within the configuration have been consciously addressed and healed.
Cosmic timing shows the way for collective as well as individual transformation. So, I’ll look at the two patterns separately to gain understanding. The elongated triangle (yod) has the Full Moon in Cancer on one arm, Saturn in Virgo on the second arm and Chiron/Neptune in Aquarius at the top point. This indicates it is correct timing to heal old wounds, especially those to do with separation from love. The way to do this is by being willing to take personal responsibility for the part you play in the game, see it clearly for what it is, learn from it and release any remaining emotional energetic charge. This will result in freedom from bondage thus enabling soul growth, a greater sense of inner peace, and lightness. You may have some interesting dreams during this Moon phase that will help you understand your subconscious motivations.
The Mystic Rectangle aids an easy flow of connection to Great Spirit/God/Goddess It can bring mystical insights that illuminate your personal growth path. It also provides the practicality to apply the insights in the world. The players in this cosmic pattern are once again the Cancer Full Moon and Saturn in Virgo. The Sun moving through Capricorn and Uranus in Pisces join the dance. The energy of Uranus in Pisces aids the Mystic Rectangle with its task, which is to enable the easy flow of mystical energy between all cosmic players thus assisting the Yod attain its evolutionary healing purpose.
Transiting Saturn, the cosmic Taskmaster and Lord of Time, will move into retrograde motion at 21 degrees Virgo in the early hours of New Years’ day and stay there until 17th May. It will re-visit 14 degrees Virgo before turning direct. For those who have planetary placements within these degrees in your birth chart you will have the opportunity to review, re-visit and re-structure your work related plans as some important corrections are likely to be needed.
