FULL MOON & LUNAR ECLIPSE 18 DEGREES 11 MIN. GEMINI 11th DECEMBER 12.36AM AEST

Words, words and more words!  Gemini loves words, information, facts and quizes.  The Gemini part of us can also become restless and bored easily when not mentally stimulated.     Writers, sales people, presenters and networkers usually have a good dose of Gemini in their make-up.  Curiosity is another strong Gemini function and this can lead to very interesting conversations and experiences. Movement is another attribute, moving ideas through the mind and energy through the body.   Many years ago I learnt that whenever I was in an emotional state my brain would go into fog and I couldn’t think.  It felt as if I had a large bag full of cotton wool balls in my head.  However after a brisk thirty minute walk magically the mist cleared.  Dancing is another way to clear the fog.  And both activities are so therapeutic for the body.

Because the Full Moon and lunar eclipse are connecting to the South Node at this phase there could be a tendency to choose not to step forward onto a broadening new path and instead retreat back into the comfort zone of past history.  Rationalisation and logic might take precedence over intuition, trust and heart-felt truth.  This is the easy and seductive path and one that most people take.  However, this choice usually leads to stagnation and experiencing the same old psychological themes and life situations over and over again.  And this can eventually lead to illness and disease.

Others will accept the soul challenge to move forward into a new direction, probably one that is unknown and unfathomable. This can feel scary however it will also be empowering and bring with it an influx of supportive energy when the new direction is connected and warming to the heart and soul.

Mercury will move into direct motion on 13th December therefore any hitches experienced in communication or related devices will most likely work out then.

As mentioned in my previous Moon Musings the focus for this 28-day Moon cycle is on the Gemini/Sagittarius polarity. To aid your understanding I’ll list some key words associated with the themes and issues of these two signs.  We all have these zodiacal energies in our psychological matrix, to differing degrees. Those readers who have planets or points in their birth chart around nineteen degrees of Gemini/Sagittarius/Virgo/Pisces, all mutable signs, will feel the affects of this Full Moon more so than others. Why not look at your birth chart to check this out?

Gemini is an air sign meaning connected to the intellect and left-brain function. The pictograph for Gemini is the twins.  This symbol relates to physical twins or the inner twins as the Higher (soul) Self and the lower (personality ego) self.   The issues and themes relating to Gemini are to do with movement and rhythm in the body and mind.   Therefore Gemini relates to the way we think, move, learn, speak and use words to communicate our truth (feelings, emotions, perceptions and understanding of life) and inter-connect with others. It also relates to our ability or otherwise to listen attentively and really hear what is being said. It is also about connecting with others and developing networks.

Sagittarius is a fire sign, meaning it is fired by inspiration, intuition, inner knowing, drive, enthusiasm and a quest for truth, meaning, purpose and self-understanding. The pictograph for Sagittarius is ‘the archer’. This symbol indicates the ability to choose a specific life target and fire your symbolic arrow carefully and deliberately, with full focus and attention, so it will hit your target.

Key words:  Functional:  expansive, honest, carefree, visionary, optimistic, philosophical, ethical, moral, open, truth, knowledge, wisdom, travel, higher education, benevolent, questing, belief, teach, spirituality, religion, freedom, spiritual growth.
Dysfunctional:  Exaggerate, over extend, over-indulge, bigot, prejudice, righteous, preach, lack of self-belief and faith, non-adventurous, dogmatic, limited conceptual understanding, lack meaning and purpose in life.

We always have a choice as to how we live our lives.   Some people do not believe this to be so and unconsciously choose to play victim and/or martyr.  This leads to addictions and ill health, especially mental health. There is another way.   This way requires self-knowledge, acceptance of personal responsibility and the willingness to face our internal monsters in order to transmute shadow thoughts and behaviour into light.

May you choose the path of love and light,
Blessings and love,
Ashtara
