This is the WESAK Full Moon and as such is one of the most powerful and intense Full Moon phases in the annual calendar. So what does Wesak mean? It is an annual global spiritual festival to celebrate and commemorate Buddha’s enlightenment. It is said that, in Tibet, there is a valley situated on a high plateau in the Himalayan mountains where thousands of global pilgrims gather each year to celebrate Wesak.  On the day of the full moon the crowd, mostly dressed in white, sit on their blankets in silence, meditating.  At a given moment, sensed by the assembled gathering, sacred chanting begins.

As the chanting reaches a crescendo The Christ and other spiritual Masters descend in their etheric form to take their place before the gathering. Just a few seconds before the full moon the hushed and reverent crowd observe the Lord Gautama Buddha, sitting cross-legged in his yellow garment, descend to a position slightly above the crowd, flooding the assembled gathering with his great light. His right hand is raised in a blessing.  Christ then chants the Great Invocation thus creating a huge current of high frequency energy that passes through the hearts of the assembled gathering. This is a sacred moment, a moment when humanity and divinity are one. The Masters then chant sacred sounds as the Great Enlightened One, after blessing the crowd, slowly ascends.

This Full Moon is a very powerful time for deep and transformational healing and purification. Intimacy (in-to-me-see) and revelations are possible. Why not create an internal calm and sacred place, still your mind and, with reverence and gratitude choose to commit to your enlightenment process. Heart-felt chanting and toning will enhance your commitment process because it will enable body/heart/soul resonance.

A profound metamorphosis of consciousness is possible should you be willing to identify, accept, own and totally release old self-destructive shadow patterns of thought, emotion and behavior. This process requires the maturity to become aware of, and be absolutely honest about, the thoughts you think.  It also requires the identification of, and responsibility taken for, the emotions you feel and the willingness to confront your deepest self to ascertain truth. The resultant conscious self-awareness provides the energetic channel to metamorphose.  You can relate this process to the cocooned caterpillar that transforms into it’s designed potential, that of a beautiful light butterfly.

During this Full Moon phase you could encounter, or unconsciously create, internal and external underhand power plays via issues relating to sex, money, shared values and joint resources.  Trust and betrayal of trust can also be themes that are heightened.  Why not choose to become the observer of your internal archetypal forces especially when relating to another?  You can liken this “witness” perspective to that of watching a tennis match.  When one player refuses to play, or quits the game, the game is over. Valuable and profound knowledge can enter your mind now so it’s wise to “tune in and tune up”!

Transiting Mars and Venus are dancing together in Aries until the end of May so it’s a good time to choose to work on improving your relating skills.  A new and powerful relationship may be formed.  This cosmic package provides the energy to partner another from a mature, respectful, mutually empowering and responsible perspective. Mars represents our inner dynamic masculine whilst Venus represents our allowing and receptive feminine. The two dance well when both are willing to consider and respect the other. The feminine receives the intuitive impulse and the masculine acts on it.  Our female and male essences are different and it is wise to learn to validate these differences.  Females think and feel differently to males and have different chemicals in our bodies.  Differences are to be celebrated and respected rather than denigrated.  Men and women fit together physically as well as spiritually.  Through the increased bombardment of light that is entering our planet men are becoming aware of their feminine side and are learning to place a higher value upon it.  Women are the wayshowers to compassionate and nurturing healing, not only for themselves and other humans but also for our precious planet.

If forming a new relationship, or beginning anew with a new way of relating in an existing relationship, an equal exchange of energy is needed otherwise anger, resentment, jealousy, envy, revenge and other dark emotions will arise from within the one who feels shortchanged.

You are likely to feel more energized, confident and enthusiastic when transiting Mars and Venus connect to different placements in your birth chart. Their combined energy encourages new beginnings.  Watch impulsiveness and impatience though, because any activity created through rash behavior is unlikely to succeed.

Transiting Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter are dancing very closely together in Aquarius.  Neptune and Chiron have been partners for some time and Jupiter has now joined the relationship. What does each archetypal force require in order to utilize this package of cosmic energy to its best advantage?  Neptune provides the energy to dissolve old ego patterns (imagine these outmoded ego patterns as rocks in a river with the river –Neptune- gradually washing the hard ego edges away). Chiron provides the energy to heal the veiled and confused thought forms that create victim status, overwhelm and self-sabotage whilst Jupiter enables expansion, spiritual growth and freedom once the truth of debilitating beliefs is ascertained, understood and integrated.

An expanded connection, to your Higher Self/Great Spirit/God, through meditation or prayer, is possible under this alignment.  Physic impressions and clairvoyant abilities can also be heightened. You may be challenged to sift through the density of emotional debris that exists in the astral realm to see clearly the truth of the earthly reality you have created.  Many will not want to face this truth, as it requires personal responsibility, yet it is truth that will set you free from the chains of past self-sabotaging behavior.
