JUMPING JUPITER! HOW WILLING AM I TO BE STRETCHED?

Ashtara

Who feels as if they are being stretched, pulled and guided into an unknown direction? Do you feel an undercurrent of excitement as this energy expands your sense of self? Do you resist this internal pull? Are you living your truth or are you still keyed in to the truth of others?  Is your new, bigger and better software programme installed in the hard-drive of your mind or is the old one still operating, dysfunctionally?

Key themes associated with Jupiter transits are based on two keywords:  Belief and Truth.

What is my truth?  What is the truth of my soul’s longing? What is the truth of my heart’s desire? This can be experienced only through heart-felt feeling and intuition. Inner-tuition! It cannot be known through the rational mind. Here are some questions to ask of your self.”  Where do I feel I’m being stretched in my life right now?” “What is my truth about this situation” “ Do I walk my talk, believe in myself and my inherent knowing?”  “What limiting beliefs do I need to become aware of and release in order to move forward in my life?”  “What religious or societal dogma do I still believe in that hinders my growth?”

The honest answers to these searching questions will determine your truth. They need to be asked with a heart-felt desire to know your truth otherwise you will receive answers from your logical mind and insecure ego.

If we are not honouring our heart-felt truth and believe we have to operate in a certain way, according to someone else’s doctrine, our body will suffer.

Note that contained within the word belief is the word lie. Many of our beliefs are based on other people’s information and doctrine. Jupiter rules our hips, thighs, liver and sciatic nerve. When we are unwilling to move forward in life according to our soul’s truth then we can experience health problems in these areas.  It can take enormous courage to move beyond our current limiting beliefs yet the benefits we receive from Jupiter when we do so always outweigh the difficulties.

On December 19th, 2007 just before the December solstice, transiting Jupiter moves into the sign of Capricorn for a period of approximately twelve months.  What does this mean?

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and is said to be the home of the spiritual Masters.   It is from Jupiter we receive spiritual impulses that determine the next step of our evolutionary soul growth.  It is from Jupiter we feel the urge to expand our horizons to develop greater self-understanding and self-knowledge. Jupiter rules overseas travel along with expanded travel in the mind.

Under a Jupiter transit we feel the urge to move forward, or to travel. We know we must do so.  The forward movement or travel provides the opportunity for evolutionary soul growth. People travel to another land to make it their home under this energetic influence. They then experience a different culture that broadens their perceptions and increases their understanding.

Under a similar Jupiter transit people are often impulsed to study a subject that will broaden their minds and offer new perspectives of viewing life.

Jupiter has a spiritual and religious component to it.

Many people of high authority and influence in the churches have a strong package of Sagittarius/Jupiter energy in their birth chart. If you have this energetic packaging you will want to know, understand, learn and embrace higher, wider and broader philosophies.  You will want to travel. You can feel as if you are on a quest to find answers to a soul longing and need the freedom to pursue your quest, your way.

Our environment and the world in which we live provide the mirror for our current level of growth. We need only to view the different areas of life from this mirror to see where we are at in the attainment of our desires.

For example:  if your external world reflects beauty, harmony, balance and love in all your external relationships, then you have reached a very beautiful place in your psyche. If your world reflects lack in any area of life you have some inner work to do on the themes pertaining to that area.

Planets rule certain areas of life and Jupiter rules the sign of Sagittarius and the 9th house in the birth chart. Through Jupiter transits around our birth chart, correlating to Jupiter’s movement around the Sun, we feel more optimistic and courageous, willing to travel further and wider than we have ever done before.

I’ll use an example here.  If you have transiting Jupiter moving through your eighth house, the area of life to do with the way you share your values, worth and resources, and this includes money and possessions, then any deeply hidden psychological issues you have relating to these themes will be brought to your consciousness through external situations.  You then have an opportunity to see your issues clearly and heal them.  As a result your life will be enhanced and enlarged because this new energy will attract inflow and result in other people offering you opportunities to expand your resource base.  You could even be offered an opportunity to travel widely to enhance your career.

As you can see, if you have an understanding of the planetary influences youcan use them consciously to evolve and grow spiritually.  We are never at the mercy of the cosmic forces.  We have free will to choose to learn how to understand and know them and then manage their energies for the greater good.

Having the awareness of the area of life Jupiter is currently expanding for you can help you to objectify that area. You’ll be able to see how this force is providing opportunities. If we do not take up the opportunities they pass us by. They may not ever come again.

Jupiter will sigh with sadness!  He has done his best!  Sometimes the opportunities can involve loss and this can cause much heartache. However this loss needs to be released so that a new and broader plan for your life can be implemented.

Transiting Jupiter is in Capricorn for most of 2008. You will have the opportunity to concretise and expand your career and professional life and your status in society. You will feel like restructuring your life to include and expand upon broader ideas and concepts. Often many new business opportunities are developed and/or old businesses restructured, all of which will bring even greater expansion at a later date.

Transiting Jupiter’s cycle  around our birth chart is twelve years.   Our life is under the influence of these cycles and we can reflect on our experiences with Jupiter each six and twelve years to observe our spiritual and personal growth progress. It could be an interesting observation for you to reflect on your life every twelve years since your birth to see what themes and issues Jupiter brought for you.

What happened to you at the age of twelve relating to the themes mentioned above?  What happened at age 24, 36 etc.? Through Jupiter’s transits wisdom develops and wisdom comes from experience based on self-knowledge.

I love Jupiter transits.  I feel as if Father Christmas has come with his big bag of goodies and pours them all over the floor in front of me.  I do not know what is in each parcel but I have a great time finding out! If a particular parcel, for example, the offer of a Bali adventure, is presented I feel into my heart to see if it resonates and then take the steps to actuate it. I didn’t plan it, I didn’t think about it, it was offered!   I knew Jupiter is at work so I go for it.  I make the stretch.  I love playing his games and enjoy his cosmic joke!

Having the knowledge of planetary transits assists our life enormously.  We can consciously work with the cosmic energies so that the very best outcome is assured. Of course we learn lessons as we go along however we can choose to learn with ease and grace through consciously developing self-awareness and self-understanding. Astrology is the greatest tool to assist this process.
