| 2010 is likely to be an eventful year that will have global repercussions for many years to come. Transiting Uranus will be completing an eighty-four year cycle around the zodiac during which time it will have sojourned in each of the twelve zodiacal signs. When Uranus enters the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, on 29th May 2010 a complete new set of cosmic frequencies will be set in motion for the following eighty-four year cycle. Uranus will briefly sojourn in Aries until 14th August before it returns for its farewell dance in Pisces. On March 13th 2011 it will return to Aries and remain there until March 2019.
Much accelerated evolutionary growth has occurred since Uranus was in Aries eighty-four years ago since Uranus was previously in Aries from 1st April 1927 to 28th March 1935. Reflect for a moment on the incredible changes that have taken place globally since then. The amazing wave of advanced technology is one demonstration and there is so much more to come that we cannot even begin to imagine.
 This new technology is interconnecting humanity in a way that could never have been envisaged previously. There has also been a huge upsurge of humanitarian based groups and organizations that are working for the betterment of our planet and humankind. Human hearts are being opened as never before.
Uranus in Aries will bring in a whole new generation of illuminated, advanced and aware souls and a new cycle of human experience will begin. These babies are likely to be inventive, pioneering, adventurous, curious and unique and have a consciousness quite different to former children. Some of the new souls will be more highly evolved than their parents and their broader perceptions and innate understanding is likely to confound, upset and confuse their parents and older siblings. These precious babies may not be able to relate well to those operating on a lower vibratory level of consciousness because they will perceive life in a very different way. Their lens of perception will not have the static interference of those unconscious and unaware.
 Some of these babies will be aware of their purpose for incarnation and know they have a special innovative direction to pursue. They are likely to find it extremely difficult to relate to the density of dark emotions and collective negative thought forms that are prevalent in the material world. They will need careful, aware and conscious loving parental support. They are likely to be highly excitable and restless, becoming easily fragmented, frustrated and angry when feeling misunderstood. They may become rebellious when not allowed the freedom to grow to the light.
Humans can be likened to plants in that we are living, growing organisms. Organisms give off electrical and magnetic signals and these signals contain information in coded form. To thrive and reach our potential we need healthy and fertile ‘soil’, the development of strong and healthy roots, a safe and secure environment in which to expand and the opportunity to reach for light. Enriched environments stimulate the formation of brain neurons that in turn accelerates the light of higher consciousness.
Parenting Uranus in Aries Children
 You who will be parents to the children born with Uranus in Aries will have your work cut out to understand them. You will need truck loads of unconditional love, patience and wisdom. You will need to listen to them carefully, without judgment, even if their futuristic and humanitarian ideas appear foreign and ridiculous. Watch how they play and listen attentively to all they have to say. You could prepare yourself to nurture and care for your unique baby by willingly choosing to advance your consciousness so you can communicate on the same level of understanding and awareness.
Firstly these children will need freedom of creative expression. They will not exist well in a severe and overly structured environment because they are likely to rebel. However they will need fair and reasonable boundaries in order to feel safe and secure. They will thrive when they feel free to communicate on an advanced consciousness wave band. You may find them eagerly learning to use the computer at a very young age so they can find a global connection to someone or something with whom they can relate. Some of them will be soul coded to create amazing inventions that will aid the development of humanity and our precious planet.
Consciousness and Technology
During the past eighty-four year cycle there has been an amazing revolution in both consciousness and technology. Both these themes play an important role in the future direction of humanity. One reflects the other. Whilst external technology has been developing there have also been major scientific discoveries relating to understanding the always- present inner technology of consciousness.
 One of the early proponents of this consciousness shift is Gregg Bradon, a geologist, researcher, author and mystic. His easy to read books connect consciousness to quantum physics and much of what has been known as true to astrologers, metaphysicians, indigenous wisdom keepers, mystics and spiritually aware people for aeons is now being proven to be fact through science. Each cell in our body is connected to the one original cell and contains coded universal information. We are each a unique and brilliantly designed living library. Each one of us is born a star, filled with the brilliance of light. During our life we can choose to enhance or dim this light.
The Science of Energy, a spiritual science, connects to cosmic energy currents. These energy currents can be felt and identified in the body through objective self-analysis once a certain level of emotional and mental mastery has been attained.
Not only is our way of thinking changing but our language is also being revolutionized as a result of the technological revolution. We cannot go back to the old ways of doing things. Old mental programmes that are long past their “use-by” date must be relegated to the waste bin, much like old software, and, through conscious insertion of new software into our brain a new order will evolve. Our world is being shaken up on many levels and the underlying purpose is for human evolution development through the acceleration of consciousness.
Uranus and Evolution
 The planets act as archetypal agents for the evolutionary acceleration of human consciousness and Uranus is one of the main players in the “consciousness” game. His energy is unique and highly electric in nature. He is often referred to as the “Great Awakener” because, through his transits, we humans begin to “wake-up” to the truth and brilliance of who we really are based on the characteristics, quality and quantity of our thoughts, emotions, feelings and actions. We begin to see clearly why and how we create our reality as we do.
You might not enjoy the “wake-up” experience because it means you will need to change outworn habits, attitudes and life styles to enable greater freedom of spirit. However, life can be very exciting when you willingly and consciously make the changes. When you begin the consciousness journey to self-awareness, through self-knowledge, you begin the process of re-uniting with your inner twin, or soul. It is then you experience a reconnection to wholeness and Oneness.
Activation of Cardinal Points
 Aries is a cardinal sign along with Libra, Cancer and Capricorn. These four signs create a cosmic cross that relates to the annual solstices and equinoxes. In esoteric astrology the cardinal cross and its symbolism plays an important role in the evolution of human consciousness. Ancient indigenous cultures such as the Andean civilization of Peru and Bolivia still conduct respectful and appreciative Earth honouring ceremonies at these times, as did the Druids of pre-Christian Europe. This practice is again becoming prevalent as people realize its energetic significance.
Pluto in Capricorn
 This eventful year of 2010 sees all the cardinal points energized at the one time. Transiting Pluto in Capricorn began the cardinal cross activation process in November 2008, when unhealthy and badly managed financial structures began their collapse. Uranus in Aries will be challenging Pluto into the exposure and destruction of other societal and governmental systems based on greed and power abuse so that uplifting re-generation can emerge from the ashes of the past. This may create much chaos and many earthquakes both physically and metaphysically.
Underhand activities, within and without, can be successfully exposed and handled this year. The electrical and fiery stimulus of Uranus in Aries excites and stimulates our brain centres to receive innovative information and ideas that we can utilise to correct corrupted societal structures.
Planets and Energy
 The planets are living organisms with fluctuating fields of energy. They pick up electrical and magnetic field communications when linked to each other. These communications can become harmonious when any energetic short circuit or disconnection is resolved. We humans possess, as do all living organisms, the ability to understand these energetic communications and respond positively to them.
When Pluto was first discovered in 1930 in the sign of Cancer, another cardinal cross point, survival was a predominant theme. It was the time between the two world wars. People en masse were experiencing death of loved ones and the burdens of financial difficulties. Many businesses and financial institutions collapsed and the Great Depression followed. Cycles repeat! However, through the advancement of the consciousness wave, we now realize we have a choice as to how to handle life challenges.
Saturn in Libra
 To add more cosmic fuel to the ignited cardinal cross, Saturn moved into Libra on 30th October 2009 thereby activating the cardinal point opposite Uranus in Aries. Libra, an air sign, is connected to relationships, balance, justice and fair play.
 Saturn is often referred to as the archetypal Lord of Time holding back the reins of progress until the cosmic timing is right. When transiting Saturn activates your personal energy field you may unconsciously choose to feel bound in chains and burdened by responsibilities of your own making. Alternatively, you can choose to work hard to restructure your life by taking responsibility for your creations. Many people learned valuable life lessons pertaining to health and work related issues during the past two and a half years of Saturn’s transit through Virgo and have successfully restructured their lives accordingly.
From 30th October 2009 until October 2012 Saturn’s cosmic game changes. The themes and issues of Libra come into play and Libra is opposite Aries in the zodiac. It is the time to balance the karmic scales through the vehicle of relationship. For the above period of time relationships and relating modalities will be highlighted. New uplifting, unique and energising relationships can enter your life and new beginnings to your manner of relating can take place, once you become awake and aware through self-knowledge. Saturn is a stabilising force to Uranus and the two can work together to create balance. However, discordant and separative relating issues will need to be resolved first. Cooperation will be the name of the game.
 Saturn’s energy, as mentioned previously, can feel restrictive and burdensome when you allow fear, limitation, loneliness and guilt to rule. However you can make friends with Saturn by willingly taking responsibility for your life creations and choosing to be ‘boss of self’. Uranus offers freedom from self-imposed limitations through self-awareness and change. Stress, chaos and separation may be the vehicle you choose to enable a resolution between these two planetary forces. It does not have to be so.
Self-awareness
One way to become self-aware is to learn astrology and then utilize the ‘mirror’ technique. Whenever you feel emotionally upset in a relationship take responsibility for your feelings. Identify the emotion and own it. It is your upset! No one did it to you. The other person acted as a trigger, offering you the opportunity to see yourself more clearly. The other person is challenging you into seeing the truth of your suppressed and projected emotion. Alternatively, what you see and admire in another is also in you. You just haven’t chosen to see and acknowledge it yet.
Jupiter in Aries
 Saturn is in exaltation in Libra, an air sign relating to the mind and mental faculties. When an individual learns to develop mental mastery harmony and balance is achieved. The mind can become as a still, clear and pure pond and act as a receptacle for higher vibrational frequencies of light. When each individual chooses to create inner peace this peace will be experienced upon the planet.
For some more advanced souls, this transit of Saturn in Libra can be the vehicle through which their dedicated consciousness development enables them to “mount the cardinal cross” and accept their karmic duty and responsibility to humankind. They will have learned to balance the opposing forces within by utilizing the high frequency of love and will desire nothing more than to be of loving planetary service.
Revolutions, Saturn and Uranus
 In 2010 Pluto, Uranus and Saturn activate three cardinal points and then, on 7th June, Jupiter rocks in to conjoin Uranus in Aries. Uranus and Jupiter are the two cosmic players in our solar system that are agents for the greatest expansion and acceleration of human consciousness. Their role in the human evolutionary development scheme comes into play fully following a descent into Pluto’s underworld of the ‘dark night of the soul’.
From this dense and dark experience you have the opportunity to learn to identify, embrace and heal your ancient soul wounds. Saturn’s time keeping mechanisms will have been one of the motivating agents behind your descent. When this energy is utilized wisely the once unconscious caterpillar can metamorphose into a butterfly to fly high and free. You may be somewhat battered and bruised but are now ready to embrace the higher frequency vibratory patterns of illuminating Uranus and expansive Jupiter.
 Jupiter and Uranus will then take you on a journey to higher consciousness and expansion such as you could not have imagined prior to your journey into the density of your underworld. You have the opportunity to become an enlightened human with unlimited powers, based on the highest frequency of all, unconditional love. You will be able to create realities in alignment with your soul and the planetary mind and the word “impossible” will no longer form part of your vocabulary.
Eclipses and Nodes
 The 2010 eclipse patterns also form in the cardinal signs of Capricorn and Cancer. Eclipse patterns can last for up to eighteen months and their effect begins to be experienced a few months before the actual event. On the 31st December 2009 the first of these patterns begins in the sign of Cancer. On the 31st December 2009 the first of these patterns, a lunar eclipse, falls in the sign of Cancer and is followed by a solar eclipse in Capricorn on 15th January. On the 26th June the lunar eclipse falls in Capricorn followed by a solar eclipse in Cancer on July 12th. Eclipses can be likened to cosmic star gates that enable new decisions and uplifting life direction changes during the period of their activity.
The transiting Nodal Axis will also be activating the cardinal cross for the whole of 2010. The transiting North and South Nodes of the Moon also activate the cardinal cross in 2010 through the signs of Cancer and Capricorn. From an esoteric and evolutionary point of view, the North Node enables the activation of individual and collective soul growth whereas the South Node reflects well learned past soul lessons and the development level of creative talents. In eastern astrology the Nodal Axis is used extensively, often to determine the level of soul consciousness. It is sometimes referred to as the Cosmic Dragon.
For the greater part of 2010 the transiting North Node will be in the sign of Capricorn whilst the South Node will be in Cancer. The North Node, which, in a birth chart indicates the point where the individual will be stretched to grow and evolve during the lifetime, will be in Capricorn whilst the South Node, representing past outworn habitual behaviour and emotional density along with well learned and often submerged gifts and talents, will be in Cancer.
In 2010 important cosmic players will activate all points of the cardinal cross.
 Before this cosmic play begins in earnest the above mentioned players will pause at specific stage entrances awaiting Mars, who is the triggering mechanism for pioneering new beginnings. On 30th July 2010 Mars advances to the cardinal point of 0 degrees of Libra to join Saturn, Uranus and Pluto already positioned. The empty stage is awaiting all its players and the set has been redesigned to accommodate them. The cosmic energies act as inner archetypal forces and their role is to awaken and accelerate human consciousness. So, what performance will you give in 2010? What script will you choose?
