Daughters are delightful! And sometimes challenging! Like when my toddling oldest daughter’s first spoken words were “bugger, bugger, bugger” as she chased her older brother down the hallway, spitting at him!
Observing this tiny and very angry tot was both delightful and challenging. And so it continues today, 50 years on! Her anger has calmed considerably however her challenges remain.
Her recent challenge was for me to start branching out of the individual domain into the global. Right! I’ve been writing Moon Musings for many years specifically directed towards individual empowerment. see www.ashtara.com Now she challenges me to write from a global perspective! She suggested I write overviews of global themes and especially one in particular. I enjoy overviews, seeing the ‘big picture’ of life’s creations. As an astrologer I analyse cosmic energies and how they influence individuals and the collective.
I’ve observed how the ‘mirror’ principle always works. Whatever is above is also below. Whatever is within is also without. Individual thought and motivation becomes the collective thought and motivation.
So will mother rise to the challenge? Yep - I enjoy a challenge! The date given for me to analyse was August 2nd 2011, the day President Barack Obama is to address the nation with his decision to either dramatically increase the enormous US debt or to default. On this same day China may also call in up to a third of its short term USA debt. This auspicious day is two days before the President’s 50th birthday.
Astrologically our 50th birthday year denotes the cosmic timing for individuals to open spiritually to greater self-awareness and higher consciousness. It is a psycho-spiritual ‘wake-up’ call! Often this time of life can be extremely stressful especially for those who hold on tightly to unconscious thought and behaviour paradigms. Old psychological wounds can arise to be acknowledged and healed during our 50th year. These wounds engender feelings of inadequacy, littleness and alienation. For President Obama, and all those born around the same time, these emotions can arise through loss and by experiencing deceit. The remedy is to reconnect to spirituality, ask internally for inspired divine guidance and have the faith to act upon it.
I do not and will not predict events because there are always probable time lines, dependant upon choices made. The choices depend entirely upon the level of consciousness of the individual or group making them. Our society and current state of the world is the result of our collective choices. Only 20% of our global civilisation lives in relative plenty. The rest live in abject mind-numbing poverty. Where is the balance? How can peace and global harmony exist in this situation?
Humanity had the opportunity, approximately100 years ago prior to World War 1, to choose peace over war. The choices made then resulted in our situation today. Two world wars have passed us by. What have we learned from them? Do ego greed, power and control still rule supreme? Will it take a third nuclear-based world war for us to learn to live in equality, harmony, love and peace? And how many would survive this possible man-made catastrophe?
Our current economic situation can be corrected however it will take enormous courage by the President to decide on tough love measures rather than by taking a band aid approach.
The chart for midday on 2nd August 2011 is not an easy one. It has many challenging influences. However, there are possibilities for new beginning. This is because the Sun and Moon will still be connecting under a New Moon phase. The Moon leads this connection. The Moon has an effect on the body, mind and spirit of every living organism on our planet. In astrology the Moon is feminine and Sun, masculine. Goddess Venus conjoins the Sun in Leo offering possibilities for love and enlightened, rather than ego, based leadership. Challenging aspects strongly connecting to the asteroid goddesses indicate the potential for a balanced and fair decision being made through tuning into the feminine principle.
However there are also very strong indications, via an opposition between Mars, the God of War and Pluto, Lord of the Underground, of fiery uncontrollable opposition to his message. Erratic, unpredictable and revolutionary violence could also erupt backed by extremely powerful shadowy controllers. This is because Uranus is also involved. This configuration can indicate highly volatile power plays.
Cosmic energy can be utilised for the greater good when the forces are understood consciously. When dark unconscious motivations rule behaviour then chaos results. As it is for individuals so it is for the collective.
President Kennedy was shot because he intended to make a public announcement that would have ‘rocked’ the nation. Others in his circle were also killed because they were also preparing to reveal secrets. These shadowy controllers are very real.
Unfortunately, because of compartmentalised politics, heads of state are often not told the truth of ‘behind the scenes’ activities. They can only find the truth by seeking it from external sources. What is uncovered entails responsible, ethical and moral action. Does President Obama love humanity enough and is he able to see a big enough picture of our future to put himself, and his life, on the line? Can he see that he does have the power to initiate the manifestation of a peaceful and equitable future direction? Or will he back down from tough love by fearfully following the edicts of his shadowy controllers?
After constructing his chart I immediately noticed something that caused a huge ‘wash’ of understanding and compassion. I believe Barack Obama has incarnated with a spiritual and social karmic responsibility to help resolve humanity’s ignorance and warring past so that the karmic scales can become balanced. Unveiling and sharing truth is part of his responsibility. What a job!
But first he needs to break free from unconscious fear-based limiting and controlling beliefs. This can occur when he understands and sees clearly the meaning behind humanity’s evolutionary past and future direction. His chart indicates a harmonious flow of energy when he connects to his inner divinity; allows the flame of spirit to guide and acts upon it. He also has the ability, and past experience, to trust this internal spiritualising force.
This is a time in his life when he has the opportunity to do so. On a soul level he is being challenged to uncover deception and speak his heart felt truth to enable greater light. With Scorpio at the top of his chart he is also challenged to empower himself to the greatest degree possible through universal love. Love, after all, is the energy of conscious creation that makes the world go round! It is the main ingredient missing from our current global creations.
The overview for our future is that there will be a Golden Age of Peace. It is ordained. Earth and the remaining people upon her will become part of a peaceful, consciously evolving galactic family. However what is not ordained is how it will occur. This is mostly up to us. I say ‘mostly’ because planet Earth, as a conscious evolving organism, has her own agenda. And that is to evolve into greater light.
This she will do. And it is time for her acceleration. Hence, the increase of solar flares, earthquakes, tsunamis and erupting volcanoes etc. The karmic scales of cosmic justice must be balanced before peace and equality can be experienced as a constant. We have already had many opportunities to create peace yet decided upon war. War makes masses of money for some people. Their covert greed and power rule our world. The most heavily armed people live in USA. They are trigger happy and live in fear.
It is as if our future is a magnetic attractor and we are slowly being drawn towards it. President Obama is probably aware of his higher spiritual purpose. His chart indicates he can become a highly conscious and enlightened human being. Therefore his decision on August 2nd boils down to a personal challenge for him.
His chart indicates he has the courage of the lion and can be a truly great leader.
Great leaders are called upon to make incredibly tough decisions. A tough love decision will not be popular. There will be tremendous opposition to it. In fact the 30,000 military personnel being withdrawn from Afghanistan might be called upon for a very specific purpose aligned with the President’s decision.
What gives me hope and optimism is that the two planets at the apex point of two most challenging aspects in the August 2nd chart are Jupiter and Uranus. The archetypal force of Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system, is for forward movement, expansion and spiritual growth. The ability to understand and favour a spiritual agenda and higher purpose is also part of the expansion offered. Uranus, the planet connected to our future, provides the energy of change, often exciting, sometimes revolutionary and temporarily destabilizing. Uranus is related to earthquakes and the personal experience of agitation, nervousness and quaking. Uranus is also the planet that rules the sign of Aquarius and the Age of Aquarius.
When connecting the 2nd August event chart to the USA 4th July 1776 chart (Sibley)
I notice that Venus, the Goddess of love and beauty, and the Sun conjunct USA North Node in Leo. On this same day these two cosmic sources of love and light also connect to President Obama’s Sun/Mercury. The Sun has been worshipped for thousands of years as the physical representation of our greatest spiritual light. My take on this conjunction on such an auspicious day is that the message given today will determine the destiny of USA. If Venus is allowed an equal voice, the truth is spoken from the heart and universal love is allowed to rule then a positive and unusual outcome is likely. Both Uranus and Pluto are also in challenging aspect to USA Venus/Jupiter. The USA chart also indicates a Saturn return, a time when the Lord of Time and Karma prepares for a more balanced and fair new twenty-nine year cycle. At this current time of writing an enormous dust cloud is beginning to cover Saturn. Hmmm! Is a ‘cover-up’ indicated? Is it natural or man-made? The dust can actually block the light of the Sun - higher consciousness. The dust is symbolic for the dust of ignorance and unconscious behaviour that blocks the light of truth in the minds of humanity. It is definitely time to ‘wake-up’!
There are many other connections between the three charts however I feel I have elucidated the essence. President Barack Obama, through clear, pure, heart-felt communication inspired by his personal spiritual faith and guidance can resonate with and illuminate the world to truth.
We are entering the new astrological Age of Aquarius where the brotherhood of man will come together in unity and peace. We will become integrated as a global village and unified as one conscious civilization. How long this takes depends on many things including each individual’s willingness to embrace the ideal of universal love, abundance, empowerment, equitable sharing and justice for all peoples.
I pray President Barack Obama will make the decision that enables this ideal.
