INTRODUCTION
There are natural Laws that govern our universe and our existence. These Laws are based on energy currents. Each living thing contains a package of specific energy, whether it is an atom, animal, human, planet or a star. Humans are receivers and transmitters of energy currents. We can be likened to a battery. We have a negative (feminine) pole and a positive (masculine) pole. The question to ask is “How can I operate my life fully charged to maximum capacity?” “What do I need to re-charge my batteries?” The answer comes through developing awareness of the Laws of Nature.
The ancient wisdom of the Laws of Nature has been handed down orally for aeons of time, mostly through indigenous tribes. Many western secret societies were established to hide this knowledge from the ‘ordinary’ people! It was far too powerful for the masses to understand!
In our current evolutionary process there is a huge awakening sweeping the planet. This awakening is cosmically designed to aid humans expand their consciousness to embrace broader perceptions of reality and remember the Laws of Nature. At our current level of evolution we only use 10% of our brain. How can we access the remaining 90%? Consciousness expansion is the key.
Consciousness expansion is accessed through intuition, meditation, self-awareness and by developing understanding of the Laws of Nature and the Science of Energy. Sensitive people feel energy currents and want to know how to manage them. The ancient esoteric sciences of astrology and metaphysics describe these currents. My articles identify some of these cosmic currents thus enabling readers to become aware of the energetic influences that affect daily life. At that point of conscious self-awareness they can choose to manage their lives more positively.

The urge to write a ‘worldview’ article has again washed over me brought about by one of my Toowoomba students sending me a news item that really captured my interest.
The news item said that, according to NASA information, the Earth and Sun passed through Saturn’s ring plane in 1995 and 1996, providing a nearly edge-on view of the rings. The ring tilt opened wider year by year to a maximum tilt of 27 degrees in early 2003. The tilt of the rings has been decreasing since 2003. The ring tilt closes slightly each year until 2009 when we’ll again see an edge-on, or nearly invisible view of the rings. Saturn is brighter this year than it will be until 2015, due to slight dimming as the ring tilt becomes narrower and Saturn’s distance from the Earth increases.
So why am I excited about this information? When I was sent this information relating to NASA’s Saturn Observation Campaign, my mind automatically went to the esoteric and metaphysical significance of this cosmic event in terms of human consciousness advancement.
There is an axiom “As Above – So Below” attributed to Hermes Trismigestus an ancient and wise philosopher. Whatever takes place in the cosmos also takes place on Earth as the two are interconnected and inter-related. From my perspective the planets serve as activating triggers for individual and collective evolution of consciousness so this astronomical phenomenon contains much hidden meaning. Let’s see if I can decode it.
In astrology Saturn is the Time Keeper and the Lord of Karma. Nothing happens in the advancement of human consciousness evolution until it is the correct timing. Each individual has karma to work through until the karmic scales are balanced. Whatever thoughts, emotions and deeds we share with others we receive in equal measure. What we sow, we reap. This is the Law of Karma. It is very wise indeed to become conscious and mindful of our energetic output!
In astrology Saturn rules the structure of consciousness and the way out of incarnation. The seven rings around Saturn symbolize the seven levels of consciousness that humans must pass through in order to attain enlightenment and ascension to a higher dimensional plane of existence. The rings have now opened allowing the Sun, our greatest light, the Earth and all life upon her into its inner circle. For a fourteen-year process, from 1995 to 2009, this unusual gateway is available for humans to expand their understanding of reality and develop greater conscious self-awareness. Fourteen years is half a Saturn cycle.
It is time to willingly break the fear barriers that hold us in chains. By doing so we open ourselves to higher consciousness, greater freedom, joy and happiness.

I’ll briefly add to that article. This transit, which will end in 2010, offers the perfect timing for you to commit to inner healing work so you can cleanse and purify yourself from ancient criticism, judgements, fears and anxiety. You may need to seek a professional to assist, one who understands and works with energy.
For those who are spiritual healers and teachers it is time for you to offer your work to the “established societal order” in ways that work for them. Therefore it may be necessary to create new systems, methods and appropriate words that will resonate with the general public. It is time to stand up and share the wonderful work you do. You will not be burned at the stake this time around! It is time to restructure your life and your work to create better and more professional systems of management that are indicative of the real “you”, rather than the false and illusionary “you”. You may need to employ a professional to assist you.
Now that I’m happy with the above piece of detective work I’ll move on to transiting Pluto.
Some key words and themes associated with Pluto are: Transformation, death, resurrection, regeneration, darkness, secrets, under-world, rebirth, sex, money, use and abuse of power.
Transiting Pluto recently entered another earth sign, that of Capricorn, and is moving through this cosmic realm until 2023. Pluto is hovering on the cusp of Capricorn as I write, however it will re-visit Sagittarius in June to stay there until the end of November before it’s final farewell in this sign for approximately 284 years. In order to see into the future it helps to review the past. So let’s have a look at the past twelve and a half years of Pluto’s transit through Sagittarius.
Some key words and themes for Sagittarius: Religion, bigotry, prejudice, beliefs, quest for truth and meaning, freedom, expansive, ‘over the top’, knowledge, wisdom, philosophy.
So what has been going on in the world stage related to these themes?
There are four religions that have been exposed by the media, either for their strengths or weaknesses during this time. Mid-way through Pluto’s transit the underhand, covert, dark deeds of many priests in the Catholic Church was exposed.
These priests abused their power over the young boys who served them. A functioning penis is not required to enter the priesthood and that which is suppressed leads to distortion and abuse. And so it was. Not only was this sexual abuse of power uncovered but also it was revealed that the Church of Rome had many other hidden secrets.
Hidden documents were found, translated and released to the public. These documents contained the truth of Jesus’ teaching and the truth of his association with Mary Magdalen, yet the Church of Rome had not taught that truth. Instead, the male power brokers formulated their own doctrine and presented it as truth. Their lies are still being uncovered. There was a huge decline in Church membership as people began to quest for their own truth and meaning in life, one free from dogma, prejudice and bigotry.
And so the New Age spiritual movement gathered strength. This movement allows the freedom to follow one’s own truth. Many spiritual gurus took centre stage, claiming they were the ones that carried the truth of God’s sacred teaching. Many have fallen by the wayside. One needs to be very discriminating in this playing field and learn to feel truth for oneself. We can learn from those with more wisdom and knowledge than ourselves but ultimately our pathway to divinity is a journey we take alone.
And then there has been a great uprising of Islam. The ‘Chief of Priests’ of a religion based on the Church of Rome chose to invade a Muslim country, claiming that God was on his side and “right” would win out over evil. Many innocent lives were lost and families destroyed as power plays and greed became the name of the game. Retaliation and revenge followed. The media has exposed much of the truth of the Muslim religion, both the dark and the light. Many people in the invaded country believe the infidels are “wrong” and are not to be trusted. There are hidden agendas on both sides.
The Mormon religion, a derivative of the Church of Rome, has not escaped the power of Pluto in Sagittarius. Many of their secrets have been revealed. Their religion is on the increase because an important part of Mormon training is to convert and baptise people across the globe into their religion and way of life. They believe their religion is based on divine revelation from God channelled through one man.
And then the Buddhists are quietly and peacefully advancing their movement throughout the world. The messages, knowledge and wisdom of the Dalai Lama are spreading like wildfire. There is no attempt to convert, control or manipulate. Greed, money and power do not come into their way of life.
The other philosophy and way of life that is gradually gaining momentum in the minds and hearts of the masses is very ancient. It pre-dates the Church of Rome and their version of Christianity. This is a philosophy based on Natural Law. Indigenous people practiced this way of life for many thousands of years, since our current phase of human evolution began. Part of this philosophy was the preservation, conservation, reverence for and appreciation of all of nature. This is a holistic and inclusive philosophy not based on money, control, power, or greed. Rather it is based on thanksgiving, reciprocity and loving-kindness.
Around the time transiting Pluto was preparing to enter Sagittarius the indigenous spiritual elders globally decided it was time to pass on their ancient knowledge and wisdom to the world. It was time for greater light to spread. And so many people felt the urge to travel to sacred sites to uncover ancient knowledge. Much has been understood and integrated. This understanding of, and appreciation for, natural law will be passed on to those who choose to learn. The practices associated with this wisdom have stood the test of time.
Pluto has done his work well! The personal growth industry has gathered momentum and power. Pilgrimages are on the increase. The quest for truth, spiritual meaning and purpose is well underway within the hearts and minds of millions of people. Many have been, and still are, questioning themselves to ascertain the beliefs that truly serve them. The quest for self-knowledge has been a driving force. “What is my deepest truth that resides underneath the darkness of my ego agendas? Have I the courage to live this truth? What does give my life meaning and purpose? Am I willing to transform and regenerate myself to anchor this truth and purpose into my everyday reality?” And now the next phase of human evolution is at hand as transiting Pluto hovers over the cusp of Capricorn.
Some key words and themes for Capricorn are: Reputation, societal and government structures, business, profession, realism, material plane, systems, forms, fear, limitations, restrictions, cold, hard.
It is now time that the self-knowledge gained and wisdom learned through Pluto in Sagittarius be applied in the 3D material world. Your revitalised purpose and truth needs to be cemented into physical reality.
This transit will create major upheaval and transformation in the material world, especially for the financial markets. Those companies that misuse power will feel the effect the most and many will collapse. Many reputations will fall. Old established systems of management will be demolished so that new forms can emerge. Old and tired business practices will be transformed. New business models will be developed that will be more equitable for the billions of people on our planet.
Pluto was halfway through the sign of Cancer when it was first discovered in 1930 and Cancer is opposite Capricorn in the zodiac. The themes of that time will be reactivated. World War One and the great recession took place during Pluto’s journey through Cancer. The financial markets collapsed. Many people lost their homes. Fear of survival was the name of the game for many. Darkness spread. Reflect on the huge power plays that have taken place since then, especially all the underworld activities, war, violence, rape and unnecessary death.
Pluto’s territory is the darkness of human behaviour and the experience of the underworld. Transformation and regeneration to enable human evolutionary soul development is Pluto’s purpose. Many old power games will be destroyed with Pluto in Capricorn, especially those relating to the ‘established order’. Governments will fall and new ways of governing will emerge.
There will be many archaeological finds that will transform the understanding of human evolutionary development. These finds may be exposed through natural upheaval. Nature has wonderful ways to cleanse and purify human density. Floods and tidal waves are likely to engulf many lands as the ice melts. Global warming is a wonderful metaphor for the expansion of consciousness. Humans are made of 80% water. Water is a carrier of consciousness. Consciousness forms crystallized patterns.
When our thoughts and emotions are dense and dark these crystallized patterns are not very beautiful. The frozen water from the last Ice Age is melting and spreading. The barriers to consciousness transformation will be destroyed as ancient memories surface. These memories contain knowledge and wisdom of ancient cultures.
Two years ago I researched Pluto’s entry into Capricorn and wrote a very powerful article about it. I sent it to an Editor of a well-known and highly respected magazine for her comments. She suggested I send it to the national newspaper because it needed far greater exposure than what the magazine could give. I did not take her advice. I recently resurrected the article and will send it to those interested. I feel it is time.
Transiting Jupiter has joined Pluto in Capricorn, but only for one year.
Jupiter’s influence is that of expansion and spiritual growth. Its transits to natal placements bring the feeling of optimism, the ability to view life from a broader perspective and a quest for truth, meaning and purpose. Often people experience this expansion and growth through a course of study that expands their mind, through involvement with schools and higher education, or through overseas travel and exposure to foreign cultures and beliefs. This broadens their horizons and view on life tremendously. Any travels to overseas destinations this year are likely to be very powerful indeed, especially those to ancient sacred sites.
Three of the big cosmic players, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are now waltzing through earth signs. Each of the signs of the zodiac is associated with gender. The earth signs are feminine, as are the water signs. The feminine polarity within every living thing is the energy of allowance, receptivity, gentleness, sensitivity and caring. It enables intuition and heart-felt feeling that leads to loving empowerment.
Transiting Uranus, the planet that brings sudden unexpected change, exciting surprises and/or upsets and chaos, is currently moving through a water sign, that of Pisces. This adds more feminine fuel to the 2008 cosmic concoction. When transiting Uranus and Jupiter form a sextile aspect to each other in March 08 some exciting and expansive energy currents will offer opportunities for greater enlightenment. Those “Ah-Ha” moments can be amazing and provide avenues for conscious change. The veils of illusion will part easily and an expanded reality can be experienced. From this greater clarity you are likely to feel the urge to offer your services to humanitarian projects to aid the underprivileged.
The February Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon falls in the earth sign of Virgo, and will take place next to transiting Saturn. I have written a separate article about this. The two other major cosmic bodies that have long lasting effects on our lives are Neptune and Chiron and both of them are in Aquarius, a masculine air sign. Air is the realm of the intellect.
One of the main psychological themes associated with Aquarius is that of separation. It is the experience of rejection that creates an energetic disconnect from our heart and hence a separation from love. The theme of rejection and separation will play out continually in your life until you choose to heal it. True love cannot be experienced whilst that disconnect still exists. It is wise to become aware of this separation and it’s cause, and choose to heal it.
Transiting Chiron is edging very close to Neptune however an exact conjunction will not occur until July 2009. What does this close cosmic connection mean?
Chiron’s energy connects to natural healing and a holistic and natural philosophy of life. During Chiron transits to our birth chart old psychological soul wounds can be opened so that healing and a broader perspective of life can be embraced. This means it is an ideal time to heal the rejection, abandonment and separation issues in our lives.
Neptune’s job is to dissolve the ego veils of illusion that cloud the mind so that greater clarity and higher consciousness can emerge. When this clarity emerges a feeling of compassion for the plight of humanity can be experienced along with the desire to do our bit to heal and serve. Neptune in Aquarius has a similar theme to Uranus in Pisces. A Neptune transit can enable us to experience different dimensions of space and time so changing our perspective on reality.
Humanity is being offered a cosmic window of opportunity to change and heal old patterns of thought, deed and behaviour. To heal ourselves we need to become conscious of our disabling deepest psychological wounds so we can transform them.
Through this current amazing and transformative consciousness revolution a greater dream for the future of humanity will emerge.
2008 promises to be a very powerful year indeed.
SUMMARY
2008 is a year of powerful cosmic energetic transition. A new wave of consciousness is sweeping the planet. Governments are changing. Old laws are giving way to new. The Hermes axiom “As above, so below” can be observed, understood and consciously experienced by those who choose to learn. The awakening process is accelerating as we are being drawn, as if by a giant cosmic magnet, into a different reality. This is a step-by-step process. Old destructive ways of being need to be left behind so that a new way can be implemented. It pays to reflect on the past to learn from it. We can then take the appropriate action to make the needed changes.
It is time to expand and restructure your daily, business and working life to one that suits the true you. Let go of the old beliefs, prejudices, criticisms and judgments that keep you small and bound in mental, physical and emotional chains. Embrace the New Aquarian Age of Information, Consciousness and Knowledge with open arms, willing to learn and grow.
